Fits Mobistel Cynus F4 smartphones; replaces OEM battery part number BTY26183.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 1500mAh delivers consistent voltage through calls, messaging, and app use.
Connector type matches Cynus F4 motherboard socket; physical dimensions 55.90 x 53.95 x 4.95mm lock flush without gaps.
We bench-tested this cell against the stock discharge curve; BMS accepted input from cold state and held steady voltage under moderate load draw.
On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates to this cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mobistel Cynus F4 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BTY26183)

This is a 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion cell for the Mobistel Cynus F4 smartphone (also listed as MT-7521w and MT-7521B). It replaces the original BTY26183 when the factory cell can no longer hold a usable charge. Dimensions are 55.90 x 53.95 x 4.95mm — confirm these against your existing cell before installing.

  • Cynus F4 / MT-7521 series fit: The MT-7521w and MT-7521B are regional variants of the same hardware platform. They share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and charge IC handshake, so a single cell covers all three model codes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Cynus F4 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the charge IC completed a full CC/CV cycle to 4.2V without thermal interruption.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and let the phone run through one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.

Why the Cynus F4 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Cynus F4 uses a coulomb counter that tracks charge in and out of the original cell. When the cell is replaced, the counter's internal model no longer matches the new cell's actual discharge curve. The phone reads a voltage that looks normal but maps it to the wrong state-of-charge value. One full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the calibration reference point.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load — typically during a call, video playback, or a burst of mobile data — before the fuel gauge reaches 0%. The modem and display together pull enough current to drag cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold while the reported percentage still shows charge remaining. It is a voltage cliff, not a capacity problem. Charge the phone to 100%, then run one full uninterrupted discharge cycle so the fuel gauge IC can anchor its low-voltage cutoff point to the new cell's actual knee voltage, which on a fresh BTY26183 cell is around 3.4–3.5V under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Cynus F4 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is it dead?

Most likely the BMS has locked out the cell after voltage dropped below 2.5V during storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell until voltage climbs above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.8V, before it will allow a normal boot. If the charging LED shows any activity within that window, the cell is recovering.

Fast charging stopped working after I installed this battery — my charger used to charge the phone quickly but now it's slow.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC often defaults to a lower current rate because it has no history for the new cell's impedance. This is normal behaviour — it is not a fault with the charger or the battery. Run one complete standard-rate charge to 100% and one full discharge, then reconnect your fast charger. The IC will accept the higher current rate once it has one calibrated cycle on record.

The phone gets noticeably warm near the battery compartment while charging — is the new cell faulty?

A fresh Li-ion cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC deposits slightly more heat during the first few cycles. This is expected and not a sign of a defective cell. The warmth should reduce after three to five full charge cycles as impedance drops. If the phone becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, or if charging stops and the phone shows a temperature warning, stop charging and check that the cell is seated flat with no pressure on the connector — a misaligned connector raises contact resistance and increases heat at that point.
