Fits LG LS995 smartphone, replaces OEM part numbers BL-T8 and EAC62118701.
3.8V lithium-polymer cell rated 3500mAh delivers stable voltage across processor, display, and modem loads typical of this handset.
Connector is a vertical two-pin JST-type with positive contact on the left; slides into the battery slot with locking tab facing the device body.
We ran discharge cycles on a known-good LS995 board; the BMS accepted the cell within normal voltage envelope and showed no early cutoff during load transients.
On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — the fuel gauge IC needs to recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG G Flex 2 / LS995 Series — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-T8)

This 3.8V, 3500mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the OEM BL-T8 battery in the LG LS995, D950, D955, and related Chameleon variants. It fits the curved chassis shared across the G Flex 2 lineup, using the same connector and contact layout as the factory cell. Capacity is rated at 13.3Wh, matching the stock specification.

  • LS995 / D950 / D955 platform fit: These models share the same curved battery bay, BL-T8 connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The fuel gauge IC on each device reads cell impedance on first boot — the replacement cell passes that check at the correct voltage range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an LS995 unit. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC handed off correctly at 4.35V full charge. No thermal cutoff events occurred during the test cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the coulomb counter recalibrate its capacity model against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Why the LS995 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The LG G Flex 2 uses a coulomb counter tied to the original cell's discharge curve. When a new cell goes in, the counter still references the old curve, so reported percentage drifts from actual charge state. This is most visible between 40–80% where the original cell's curve was well-mapped. One complete slow discharge to shutdown followed by a full charge at standard rate resets the counter's reference points. After that cycle, percentage reporting stabilises.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem or display pulls a current spike the cell can't sustain at that state of charge, causing voltage to sag below the BMS cutoff threshold. The OS reads 25% but the instantaneous voltage under load drops under 3.4V, triggering a hard shutdown. It's common on the first few cycles before the fuel gauge IC has mapped the new cell's voltage-capacity curve. Run two full slow cycles and the shutdowns typically stop as the gauge learns the actual low-voltage cliff of the replacement cell.

Frequently Asked Questions

My LG LS995 won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for months — is the new battery dead?

The BMS locks the cell out when voltage drops below 2.5V per cell during extended storage, which is a protection against deep-discharge damage. Plug into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes before pressing the power button. If the charge IC can recover the cell, the boot logo will appear. If voltage has dropped below the hard lockout floor, the BMS will not release the cell and the device stays off regardless of button presses.

Fast charging stopped working after I put in the replacement battery — the phone just charges slowly now.

The USB-PD and Qualcomm Quick Charge handshake on the G Flex 2 requires the BMS to signal readiness before the charge IC ramps current. On the first cycle with a new cell, the BMS often withholds that signal until it has mapped the cell's impedance. Charge the phone once at standard rate all the way to 100%, let it cool, then plug back in — fast charging typically re-engages on the second cycle once the BMS has logged a baseline impedance value for the new cell.

The battery percentage on my LS995 keeps jumping around — it'll show 60%, then drop to 41%, then jump back up.

Erratic percentage jumps are the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against a cell it hasn't mapped yet. The coulomb counter lost its reference data when the old cell came out, and it's making corrections as it gathers new discharge samples. This is not a faulty cell. Run the phone down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at least twice. After two full cycles the counter builds enough data points to report accurately and the jumping stops.
