Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei Ascend P6 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB3742A0EBC)
This is a 3.8V, 2000mAh Li-Polymer replacement cell for the Huawei Ascend P6 smartphone. It fits the Ascend P6, P6-U06, P6-C00, and Ascend G6, among others. Dimensions are 97.89 × 40.67 × 3.44mm — match these against your original cell before installing.
- Ascend P6 and G6 compatibility: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol, which is why a single cell covers the full range. The fuel gauge IC on each device reads cell voltage and charge state over the same internal interface.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge-discharge cycles on the Ascend P6 platform. The BMS accepted the new cell without triggering overcurrent lockout, and the charge IC stepped through the correct CC/CV phases.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable any fast-charge mode and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Ascend P6 after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When the phone reads 25%, the new cell's actual voltage under modem or display load drops faster than the IC expects. The phone hits its low-voltage cutoff threshold and shuts down before the percentage reaches zero. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard current resets the coulomb counter and corrects the reported percentage.
Phone will not power on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell voltage drops below roughly 2.5V, the BMS enters a protection lockout and blocks current flow to prevent cell damage. The phone shows nothing when you press the power button — no logo, no charging indicator. Connect to a wall charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes; the charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage rises above the BMS re-enable threshold of approximately 2.9V, after which normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Ascend P6 shows a different battery percentage after I put in the new cell — jumps around and doesn't match how the phone actually behaves. What's causing that?
The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the discharge curve of your old cell. A new Li-Polymer cell has a different voltage profile under load, so the coulomb counter misreads state of charge and reports incorrect percentages. Run one complete discharge — use the phone until it shuts off on its own — then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging enabled. That single cycle gives the IC enough data to recalibrate against the new cell.
Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery on my Ascend P6 — it only charges slowly now. Is the new cell the problem?
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the Ascend P6 sometimes defaults to standard current until it confirms BMS handshake data from the new cell. This is a one-cycle behaviour, not a fault. Fully discharge and recharge the phone once at standard rate. If fast charging still doesn't resume after that cycle, check that the charger output matches the original Huawei spec — an off-spec charger voltage prevents the charge IC from enabling the higher current mode.
My Ascend P6 gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges with the new cell. Should I be concerned?
A new Li-Polymer cell typically has higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC dissipates more heat during the initial CC phase. This is most noticeable on the first two or three charges and reduces as the cell cycles. If the phone is too hot to hold comfortably, stop charging and check that you are not charging in direct sunlight or inside a case that traps heat. By the third full charge cycle, the warmth should drop to normal operating levels.
