Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei C7600 / C5900 / U7300 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (HB5B2)
This is a 3.7V, 880mAh Li-ion cell replacement for Huawei handsets carrying the HB5B2 or HB5B2H OEM part number. It fits the C7600, C5900, U7300, U7310, and eight additional models on the same platform. The cell measures 44.00 × 38.00 × 5.20mm and delivers 3.26Wh total energy.
- C7600 / U7300 platform compatibility: These models share the same battery footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. Huawei used a unified power architecture across this generation, so one cell covers the entire range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a C7600 unit and monitored the BMS through charge and discharge. The protection circuit held cutoff at 4.20V on charge and 3.0V at low end — both within spec. No thermal events or communication errors during testing.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the system applies high-current charging to an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. Under modem or screen load, the new cell draws a sharp current spike that drops the terminal voltage below what the fuel gauge IC expects at that state of charge. The phone's protection circuit reads that voltage dip as a dead cell and cuts power. Running one full discharge cycle down to ~3.0V and charging back to 4.20V gives the coulomb counter enough data to recalibrate its low-end threshold and stop triggering early shutdowns.
Device not powering on after storage — BMS lockout below 2.5V
If the phone won't respond after the battery sat discharged for weeks, the BMS has likely entered deep-discharge lockout — a protection state that activates when cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V. Plugging in the charger will not immediately wake the device. Hold the charger connected for 10–15 minutes to allow the BMS to trickle enough current into the cell to exit lockout, then attempt a normal power-on. If the cell recovers past 3.0V, normal charging resumes automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Huawei C7600 shows a full charge but the percentage drops to zero without warning — what's causing this?
The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it loses track of actual state of charge as the voltage drops faster than the algorithm expects. This mismatch causes the reported percentage to snap to zero at what looks like mid-charge. Run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown and then charge uninterrupted to 100% — after that full cycle, the coulomb counter recalculates its endpoints against the new cell and the percentage display stabilises.
Fast charging stopped working after I installed the replacement battery — the phone only charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, Huawei's charge IC often falls back to standard 5V charging because it has no charge-history data for the new cell's impedance profile. This is a safety fallback, not a fault with the battery. Complete one full standard-rate charge cycle to 4.20V, then reconnect using the original fast-charge adapter — the charge IC re-evaluates the cell's internal resistance and re-enables the higher current path once it has a baseline reading.
The phone feels warm near the battery compartment while charging — is that normal with a new cell?
A new high-impedance cell generates slightly more heat during the first few charge cycles as the charge IC pushes current into a cell it hasn't characterised yet. This is most noticeable at the start of charging when current is highest. The warmth should reduce noticeably after two or three full cycles as internal resistance drops and the charge IC tightens its current regulation. If the body stays hot throughout a full charge after three cycles, check that the charge rate hasn't locked into fast-charge on a cell that hasn't completed its initial calibration cycle.
