Fits Huawei E5573S-852, E5573S-853, E5573S-856 mobile hotspots; replaces OEM HBC04666RDW battery.
3.8V 4500mAh Li-ion cell delivers rated capacity on the E5573S platform without voltage sag under combined modem and WiFi load.
Connector seats into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orient the contacts toward the device motherboard.
We bench-tested this cell on an E5573S-852 under sustained dual-band WiFi broadcast with five connected devices — BMS remained stable across full discharge cycle.
Keep the hotspot in a well-ventilated location during extended sessions; cellular radio at maximum output power generates significant heat that stresses the battery.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei E5573S / E5787P Series — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (HBC04666RDW)

This is a 3.8V 4500mAh Li-ion battery for the Huawei E5573S-852, E5573S-853, E5573S-856, and E5787P mobile hotspot devices. It replaces OEM part HBC04666RDW and restores full power capacity to the portable WiFi hotspot. Capacity is 4500mAh (17.1Wh) — taken directly from product specification.

  • E5573S and E5787P platform compatibility: These models share the same battery bay dimensions (65.35 × 46.00 × 12.30mm), 3.8V nominal voltage rail, and BMS communication protocol. The connector pinout and charge termination handshake are identical across the series, so one battery cell works across all listed variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through charge and discharge cycles on the E5573S platform. The BMS accepted full charge without error flags, voltage held steady under simultaneous 4G modem and WiFi radio load, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Ventilation during extended hotspot sessions: Keep the hotspot on a hard flat surface with airflow around it during long sessions. When connected devices are at range limit, the cellular radio locks to maximum transmit power — sustained heat from the radio transfers directly into the battery cell and accelerates wear over time.

Why the E5573S drops connected devices mid-session under full load

When the hotspot is running at its maximum client count, the combined draw from the 4G modem and the WiFi radio spikes well above idle current. An ageing or undercharged battery cannot sustain the voltage rail under that combined load, so the BMS briefly cuts output to protect the cell. This registers as a momentary disconnection for all users. A fully charged, capacity-correct replacement battery maintains the voltage headroom needed to absorb those load spikes without triggering the cutoff.

Hotspot shows battery icon but won't boot after weeks in a drawer

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage — roughly 1–2% per week at room temperature. If the hotspot sat unused long enough, the cell voltage drops below the minimum boot threshold (typically around 3.0V for a 3.8V nominal cell), and the device will not initialise even with the charger connected. Connect the charger and leave it for at least 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on — the BMS needs to see voltage recover above the boot floor before it will release the power rail to the processor.

Frequently Asked Questions

My E5573S keeps kicking devices off the WiFi every few minutes even though the battery shows full — what's causing that?

A battery that reads "full" on the indicator but has degraded capacity cannot hold its voltage under the combined draw of the modem and all connected clients simultaneously. The voltage sag triggers the BMS protection cutoff, which the hotspot firmware reads as a connection fault rather than a battery event. Replace the battery and retest with the same number of connected devices — the drop-outs will stop if voltage sag was the cause.

The E5573S battery is draining noticeably faster than it used to — I haven't changed how I use it, so what changed?

The most common cause is a deteriorating cellular signal forcing the 4G radio to run at maximum transmit power for extended periods. The modem continuously adjusts output power based on signal strength — weak signal means the radio draws peak current continuously instead of stepping down, and that significantly increases total battery drain. Check the signal bar count in the hotspot admin panel. Moving the device closer to a window or repositioning it closer to the cell tower can reduce radio draw and slow the drain.

The hotspot was stored for about two months and now it won't turn on at all — is the battery dead?

Likely not dead, but deeply discharged below the BMS boot threshold. Connect the original or a known-good charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The BMS needs to see the cell recover above approximately 3.0V before it releases power to the rest of the board. If the charge LED doesn't activate within five minutes of plugging in, try a different USB cable first — the charge circuit is the first thing to check before concluding the battery needs replacement.
