Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei E5577s-321 Series — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (HB824666RBC)
This is a 3.8V, 2300mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Huawei E5577s-321 mobile hotspot. It also fits the E5577Bs-937, E5577 ebs-937, and 501HW, among others. OEM part numbers HB824666RBC and HWBBJ1 both reference this cell.
- E5577 series compatibility: These hotspot variants share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.8V supply rail, and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping between models in this lineup does not require a firmware or hardware change — the connector and charge circuit are identical across the series.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell in an E5577s-321 with eight active clients connected. The BMS held the charge rail steady through full cellular transmission cycles and did not trigger a false low-voltage cutoff under combined modem and Wi-Fi load.
- Ventilation during extended sessions: Keep the hotspot on a hard, open surface when running long sessions. The cellular radio ramps to maximum output power when connected clients are far away or signal is weak. Heat from the modem transfers directly into the battery cavity — blocking airflow accelerates cell stress.
Hotspot disconnecting users mid-session on a new battery
A fresh battery can still cause mid-session dropouts if the cell's internal resistance hasn't settled after initial cycles. When eight clients hit the hotspot simultaneously, the combined modem and Wi-Fi draw spikes the current demand sharply. If the BMS reads that spike as an unsafe draw event, it cuts power momentarily — long enough to drop all active connections. Run two or three full charge cycles before using the hotspot at maximum client load to let the BMS calibrate its cutoff thresholds accurately.
Hotspot won't power on after sitting unused for several weeks
Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month. The E5577s-321 also draws a small standby current even when off, which accelerates depletion in storage. If the cell drops below approximately 3.0V, the BMS locks out the battery to prevent damage — and the unit will not boot. Connect the hotspot to a charger for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power it on; most BMS circuits will accept a trickle charge at that voltage and recover normal function once the cell reaches 3.4V.

Frequently Asked Questions
My E5577s-321 hotspot keeps dropping all connected devices every few minutes even though the battery shows plenty of charge — what's causing it?
This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. Under peak load — multiple clients active plus weak cellular signal forcing the modem to full output — current draw spikes and the cell voltage dips momentarily below the BMS cutoff threshold, resetting the unit. The display can still show a high charge percentage because that reading is based on resting voltage, not load voltage. Reduce connected clients to four or fewer and check that the signal bar is above two — if dropouts stop, the radio is the load culprit, not the battery.
The battery on my E5577s-321 seems to drain far faster than it should — it's empty well before I'd expect it to be, even with just a few devices connected.
Poor cellular signal is the most overlooked cause of fast drain on this device. When the E5577s-321 operates in a weak signal area, the modem continuously transmits at maximum power to maintain the connection — that alone can double the normal power draw regardless of how many clients are connected. Check signal strength: if you're sitting on one or two bars, moving the hotspot closer to a window or external wall can drop the radio power requirement significantly and extend usable charge per cycle.
My E5577s-321 won't turn on after the new battery arrived — did it ship dead?
Replacement cells ship at a partial state of charge, typically around 40–60%, which is standard for safe Li-ion transport. However, if the cell sat in transit for several weeks or was stored before shipping, voltage can drop low enough that the BMS refuses to allow boot. Connect the hotspot to its original charger and leave it for 30–45 minutes without pressing the power button. Once the cell recovers to approximately 3.4V, the BMS will release the lockout and the unit will power on normally.
