Fits Huawei G2201 and C3100 smartwatches, replaces OEM part HB5E1.
3.7V, 550mAh capacity delivers sufficient charge for daily wear cycles on this wearable's display and sensor load.
Connector seats into the G2201's proprietary slot with no locking tab — alignment matters on insertion.
We bench-tested this cell on a G2201 test rig; the BMS accepted charge within normal parameters, no fault codes.
On first power-on after installation, let the smartwatch complete one full discharge-recharge cycle before re-enabling any aggressive power-saving modes that mask voltage sag during sensor polling.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei G2201 / C3100 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (HB5E1)

The HB5E1 is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 550mAh (2.04Wh), fitting the Huawei G2201 and C3100 smartwatches. It powers the display, sensors, and wireless connectivity functions. Install it when the original cell can no longer hold a charge through a full day of normal use.

  • G2201 and C3100 compatibility: Both watches share the HB5E1 cell format — same footprint at 39.58 × 33.54 × 5.11mm, same connector orientation, and the same BMS charge termination voltage. One cell fits both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the HB5E1 through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS accepted charge termination cleanly at 4.2V and held cutoff at the low-voltage threshold without tripping into lockout under normal sensor loads.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting the new cell, disable fast charging if your paired app or device allows it. Run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before any high-current session pushes current into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–25% on the G2201 after a cell swap

The G2201's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve from the original cell. After a swap, that stored curve no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage profile. When the watch hits a load spike — screen-on, GPS poll, or heart rate burst — the cell voltage drops faster than the IC expects, and the watch shuts down to protect itself. Run one full discharge down to auto-off and then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle the IC recalibrates and the early shutdown stops.

Battery percentage jumping erratically in the first few days after replacement

Erratic percentage readings — jumping from 60% to 80% or dropping 15% in a few minutes — are a coulomb counter symptom, not a cell defect. The IC is using stale capacity data from the previous cell. Each time it reads actual cell voltage it corrects the estimate, causing the visible jumps. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles at standard charge rate. By the end of the second cycle the counter stabilises and percentage tracking becomes consistent.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Huawei G2201 won't turn on at all after sitting unused for a few months — is the new battery dead already?

It isn't dead — the BMS has tripped into lockout because the cell drained below 2.5V during storage. Connect the watch to its charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle enough current in to bring the cell above the BMS re-enable threshold before the watch will respond. If the watch shows no charging indicator after 30 minutes, try a different cable and confirm the charger output is at least 5V 1A.

The watch feels noticeably warm near the case while charging in the first few days after I fitted the HB5E1 — is something wrong?

Mild warmth is expected on a new high-impedance cell during the first few charge cycles. A fresh Li-ion cell has slightly higher internal resistance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC dissipates more energy as heat until the cell conditions through a couple of cycles. If the case becomes hot to the touch or the watch shuts itself off mid-charge, stop charging and check that the connector is fully seated. Normal warmth fades after two to three complete cycles as internal resistance drops.

Fast charging stopped working on my G2201 after I replaced the battery — it only trickle charges now.

The charge controller on the G2201 runs a handshake with the BMS on the first cycle after a new cell is fitted. Until that handshake completes successfully, the controller drops back to a safe low-current rate rather than enabling the higher charge profile. Let the watch complete one full charge from near-zero to 100% at the slow rate without interrupting it. On the next charge session the controller should recognise the cell and restore the normal charge current.
