Fits Huawei Honor 6 (H60-L02, H60-L04) and replaces OEM part HB4242B4EBW.
3.8V, 3000mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full-charge capacity on Honor 6 after original degradation.
Connector seats into the battery slot with flat flex contact; no locking tab, mechanical fit only.
We bench-tested the HB4242B4EBW against the H60-L02 mainboard—BMS accepted charge without fault codes, fuel gauge initialized cleanly.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei Honor 6 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB4242B4EBW)

This 3.8V, 3000mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original HB4242B4EBW battery in the Huawei Honor 6 and its variants, including H60-L02, H60-L04, and Mulan. It fits the stock battery bay without modification and reconnects to the same flex connector as the factory cell. Capacity is rated at 11.4Wh.

  • Honor 6 variant coverage: The H60-L02, H60-L04, and Mulan share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout — same voltage rail, same BMS handshake protocol. One cell fits all of them without adapter or modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on an Honor 6 unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the handshake on first boot. Charge IC communicated correctly with the replacement cell and reported state-of-charge without prompting a fault code.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell — skipping this step is the main cause of erratic percentage readings.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Honor 6 after a cell swap

The Honor 6's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. After a cell swap, that stored curve no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-versus-capacity profile. When the modem fires or the screen hits full brightness, current draw spikes and the new cell's voltage drops below the shutdown threshold — even though the reported percentage still shows 20–30%. The fix is one full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled, which forces the coulomb counter to rebuild its curve against the replacement cell.

Phone won't power on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge during storage, and if the replacement cell drops below 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout to prevent damage. The Honor 6 will show no response to the power button — not even a charging indicator on first plug-in. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything; the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-initialisation threshold, typically around 2.8–3.0V, after which normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Honor 6 percentage jumps from 35% straight to 15% and then the phone shuts off — is the new battery faulty?

The cell itself is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve it mapped for the original battery, so it miscalculates remaining capacity on the new cell. One full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging turned off forces the coulomb counter to recalibrate against the replacement cell's actual voltage curve. After that single cycle, percentage readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I charged the phone after fitting the replacement battery — what happened?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the Honor 6's charge IC can withhold the proprietary fast charge protocol until it confirms the new cell is responding within expected voltage parameters. This is a one-cycle behaviour — the IC defaults to standard charge rate until it has completed one full charge and logged the cell's response. Charge fully once at the standard rate, then fast charging re-enables on the next session.

The back of my Honor 6 gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges after fitting the replacement cell — should I stop?

Mild warmth on the first one to three charge cycles is normal. A fresh Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a cell that has been cycled, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more energy as heat while the cell's impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot to hold or charging stops before 100%, disconnect immediately and check that the battery connector is fully seated. Normal warmth on early cycles requires no action beyond completing those first few charges at standard charge rate.
