Fits Lenovo S820, S820e, A750e, A770E and replaces OEM part BL210.
3.7V 2000mAh Li-ion cell delivers sustained voltage under call and messaging loads on this handset.
Connector slides into the battery slot with contacts facing inward; tab seats flush against the compartment lip.
We cycled this pack through discharge-charge on an S820 — BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, voltage curve stable across the discharge window.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against this cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo S820 / A770E Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BL210)

This is a 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the Lenovo S820, S820e, A750e, and A770E smartphones. It slots into the original battery bay and connects via the existing ribbon contact. Use the capacity figure above — 2000mAh — as the reference spec for this cell.

  • S820 and A-series compatibility: The S820, S820e, A750e, and A770E all share the same battery bay dimensions, contact pitch, and 3.7V supply rail. The BL210 part number covers this group because the BMS handshake and connector pinout are identical across these models.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a monitored rig. The BMS held charge cutoff at 4.2V and triggered low-voltage protection at 3.0V. No thermal spike was recorded during the first full charge.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. This gives the fuel gauge IC one clean reference cycle against the new cell's discharge curve before fast charge current is applied.

Why the S820 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The S820 uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that builds its percentage model against the previous cell's charge curve. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches. The gauge reads an offset voltage and maps it to the wrong state-of-charge point. One full discharge-to-shutdown and uninterrupted recharge to 100% resets the reference table. After that cycle, percentage reporting stabilises.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem or display triggers a load spike and the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. It is a voltage-cliff issue, not a capacity issue. The BMS sees the instantaneous sag past 3.0V and shuts the device down as a protection measure. Run the fuel gauge recalibration cycle first; if shutdowns continue past that point, check that the battery contact pins on the motherboard are clean and making full contact.

Frequently Asked Questions

The S820 powers off by itself around 25% battery — is the new cell faulty?

Not necessarily. Under a screen-on or modem load spike, the new cell's voltage can sag below the BMS cutoff threshold faster than the fuel gauge IC can update the percentage display. The gauge still shows 25% but the BMS sees an instantaneous drop past 3.0V and cuts power. Run one full discharge-to-shutdown cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — this recalibrates the coulomb counter and usually eliminates the premature cutoff.

Fast charging stopped working after I fitted this battery — my charger worked fine before.

On the first cycle with a new cell, the BMS on the replacement may not immediately accept the proprietary charge handshake from the original charger. The charge IC defaults to a lower standard rate until the BMS completes its initialisation. Complete one full standard charge to 100%, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — fast charge protocol acceptance typically resumes from the second cycle onward.

The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat unused in a drawer for months.

A cell stored uncharged can drop below 2.5V per cell, which triggers BMS lockout — the pack refuses to deliver current until it sees a trickle charge above that threshold. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. Once the cell recovers past approximately 3.0V, the BMS re-initialises and the device will power on normally.
