Fits Huawei MediaPad M6 8.4 tablet; replaces OEM part HB30A7C1ECW directly.
3.82V, 6000mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full capacity to the 8.4-inch display and WiFi radio.
Connector seats flat into the battery slot; locking tab slides and locks without force.
We ran discharge cycles on bench; BMS accepted voltage handshake and delivered full 22.92Wh output.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this recalibrates the fuel gauge IC against the new cell and resolves inaccurate percentage display.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei MediaPad M6 8.4 — 3.82V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB30A7C1ECW)

This is a 3.82V, 6000mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Huawei MediaPad M6 8.4 tablet. It fits the VRD-AL09 and VRD-W09 variants. The original HB30A7C1ECW cell degrades with charge cycles, and this replacement restores the capacity the tablet shipped with.

  • VRD-AL09 and VRD-W09 compatibility: Both variants use the same 3.82V cell rail, identical flex connector, and the same charge IC on the board. One battery fits both without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the MediaPad M6 charge IC at full charge rate. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, balanced correctly at 4.35V, and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at the expected low-voltage cutoff.
  • Fuel gauge reset after installation: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. The fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell — this single cycle resets it against the new cell and corrects the inaccurate percentage display that almost always appears after a swap.

Tablet shutting down at 15–25% remaining after battery replacement

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. Under combined display and WiFi load, the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge expects, and the charge IC interprets a brief sag as a low-voltage cutoff condition. The tablet shuts down before the reported percentage reaches zero. Running one full calibration cycle — full discharge to automatic shutoff, then an uninterrupted charge to 100% — aligns the fuel gauge to the actual discharge curve of the new cell. After that cycle, shutdowns at 15–25% stop occurring.

Fast charging not available after battery swap

If the MediaPad M6 drops to standard charge rate after installation, the USB-PD negotiation or Huawei's proprietary charge protocol did not complete against the new cell on the first cycle. This is not a wiring fault. Use the original Huawei charger and cable — third-party adapters often fail the handshake. Complete one full charge cycle from below 10% to 100% without interruption, and fast charge availability restores on the following cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MediaPad M6 8.4 shows 60% battery but turns off immediately — why?

The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old, degraded cell and misreads the new cell's discharge curve. The tablet hits a real low-voltage cutoff point before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single cycle recalibrates the fuel gauge against the new 6000mAh cell and stops the premature shutdowns.

The battery percentage on my MediaPad M6 jumps around and drops faster than expected from 100% — is the replacement faulty?

It is almost always a fuel gauge drift issue, not a faulty cell. The charge IC stores calibration data from the original battery, and when a new cell is installed, the stored reference no longer matches the actual charge curve. Discharge the tablet fully to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the device during the charge. After that one cycle, the percentage reading stabilises.

My MediaPad M6 8.4 feels warm during charging after fitting the new battery — is something wrong?

Warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new Li-Polymer cell is normal. The charge IC runs the new HB30A7C1ECW cell through its full constant-current then constant-voltage phase, which generates more heat than a partially degraded old cell ever did. If the tablet stays warm but below hot to the touch and charging completes normally, nothing is wrong. If the device becomes hot and charging stops short of 100%, check that the charger output matches Huawei's specified 9V/2A or 5V/2A rating.
