Fits Huawei P8 Lite models ALE-L04, ALE-CL00, ALE-UL00 and replaces HB3742A0EZC+.
This 3.8V 2200mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full-day runtime on the P8 Lite platform.
Connector seats flat against the battery contact board with no locking tab required.
We ran a full discharge cycle on the bench—BMS voltage tracked clean through the tail.
On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei P8 Lite — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB3742A0EZC+)

This 3.8V, 2200mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original HB3742A0EZC+ cell in the Huawei P8 Lite. It fits ALE-L04, ALE-CL00, ALE-UL00, and over 29 additional ALE-series variants. Dimensions are 97.95 × 41.46 × 3.68mm — matching the original footprint for a direct swap.

  • ALE-series model coverage: All listed ALE variants share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on ALE-L04 hardware. The BMS initialised correctly on first power-up, charge IC accepted the cell without flagging an error, and voltage held within spec across a full discharge cycle under mixed screen and modem load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a replacement P8 Lite cell

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity defect. Under combined modem and display load, the cell voltage drops sharply — the phone's power IC interprets this as a critically low voltage and shuts down before the fuel gauge reaches 0%. It happens most often in the first few cycles on a new cell, when the coulomb counter is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge profile. Running one full discharge to below 5% and a complete charge to 100% at standard rate resets the counter. After that cycle, the reported percentage tracks correctly against actual cell voltage.

OS reporting wrong battery percentage after cell replacement

The P8 Lite uses a fuel gauge IC that stores learned discharge data from the previous cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry. The result is percentage jumps, early low-battery warnings, or readings that stall at a fixed number for extended periods. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate forces the IC to relearn the curve against the new cell. After that cycle, readings stabilise to within a few percent of actual charge state.

Frequently Asked Questions

My P8 Lite shut off at 25% right after I put the new battery in — is the cell faulty?

It is not a faulty cell. The phone's fuel gauge IC is still reading against the old battery's discharge curve, so it triggers a low-voltage cutoff before the new cell is actually depleted. Run one full discharge down to below 5%, then charge to 100% at standard rate without fast charging enabled. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates and the shutdowns stop.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after the battery swap — what happened?

On the first charge cycle after a cell replacement, the Huawei charge IC sometimes does not negotiate the proprietary fast-charge protocol with an uncalibrated BMS. It defaults to standard 5V charging as a safety measure. Unplug, wait 10 seconds, and reconnect — most units accept the fast-charge handshake on the second attempt. If it still does not trigger, complete one full standard-rate cycle first; the BMS fast-charge flag typically enables itself after initial calibration.

The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — how do I recover it?

Li-Polymer cells in storage self-discharge slowly, and if the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V the BMS will have locked out to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 3.0V, at which point the BMS unlocks and the phone will power on normally.
