Fits Vodafone Smart Prime 6 models VF-895N and VF-895, replacing original TLp025A1 battery pack.
3.8V nominal and 2500mAh capacity sustains calling, messaging, and app use across a full day.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a single flat contact point and plastic locking tab.
We bench-tested this cell at full discharge and verified the fuel gauge IC accepted the new BMS signature.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without fast charging to let the coulomb counter recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vodafone Smart Prime 6 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLp025A1)

This is a 3.8V, 2500mAh (9.5Wh) Li-Polymer cell for the Vodafone Smart Prime 6, VF-895N, and VF-895. It replaces the original TLp025A1 pack when the existing cell no longer holds a usable charge. Physical dimensions are 73.10 × 54.13 × 4.40mm — check these against your existing cell before ordering.

  • VF-895 series compatibility: The Smart Prime 6, VF-895N, and VF-895 all share the same battery bay geometry and 3.8V power rail. The TLp025A1 part number covers all three variants, so connector orientation and BMS handshake are consistent across the range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Smart Prime 6 platform. The BMS accepted the new cell without error flags, and the charge IC completed a full CC/CV cycle without interruption.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable any fast-charge mode and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Why the Smart Prime 6 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The phone's fuel gauge IC builds its percentage model from the discharge curve of the original cell. When you fit a new cell, the IC still references the old curve, so reported percentage drifts from actual cell state. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge down to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge to 100%. After that cycle the coulomb counter resets its reference points against the new cell, and percentage readings stabilise.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under peak modem or screen load — a voltage cliff the fuel gauge did not predict. The phone's protection circuit shuts the device down before the displayed percentage reaches zero. It is not a fault in the replacement cell. Run the full recalibration cycle described above; if shutdowns persist after two full cycles, check that the connector is fully seated and that contact resistance at the flex cable is below 0.5Ω.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Smart Prime 6 won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

It is most likely a BMS lockout, not a dead cell. If the cell discharged below roughly 2.5V during storage, the battery management circuit blocks current output as a protection measure. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage rises above the BMS threshold, at which point the phone will resume normal charging.

Fast charging stopped working the moment I fitted the replacement — the phone just charges slowly now.

On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the phone's charge controller sometimes falls back to standard current while it negotiates with the new BMS. This is expected behaviour, not a fault. Complete one full standard-rate charge to 100%, then disconnect and allow a full discharge to automatic shutdown. On the next charge the USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge handshake should re-establish correctly and higher current will be accepted.

The battery percentage keeps jumping — it skips from 45% straight to 60%, then drops back without me using the phone.

Erratic percentage jumps are a fuel gauge IC recalibration artefact. The coulomb counter is still mapping the new cell's discharge curve and has not yet built a stable model of its capacity window. Run two complete discharge-to-charge cycles without interruption — no top-up charges mid-cycle. After the second full cycle the IC recalibrates its endpoint references and percentage movement will track actual cell voltage steadily.
