Fits Inovytec VWSP-100, VWSP-430, and VWSP-900 medical devices, replacing OEM part number VWSP-430.
This 12V, 3000mAh lithium manganese dioxide cell delivers 36Wh for sustained clinical monitoring and diagnostic assessments.
Connector seats vertically into the device battery slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab engages without forcing.
We cycled this cell through full charge-discharge on VWSP-100 hardware; BMS accepted the new chemistry and held voltage stable under load.
After installation, let the device complete its power-on self-test cycle uninterrupted — medical BMS firmware verifies new cell chemistry on first boot, and interrupting this sequence triggers a false battery fault that only clears after a full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Inovytec VWSP-100 Series — 12V Li-MnO2 Replacement Battery (VWSP-430)

This is a 12V, 3000mAh lithium manganese dioxide replacement battery for the Inovytec VWSP-100, VWSP-430, and VWSP-900 portable clinical devices. Li-MnO2 chemistry is used here because it delivers stable voltage under the variable load profile of handheld medical monitoring equipment. Capacity is 3000mAh (36Wh), matching the OEM specification.

  • VWSP-100 / VWSP-430 / VWSP-900 compatibility: These three models share the same 12V power rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why a single cell covers all three. Swapping between them does not require firmware adjustment or any physical modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the VWSP platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without flagging a chemistry mismatch. The protection circuit engaged correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Post-installation self-test: After fitting the new battery, allow the device to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. Medical devices in this class run BMS verification at startup — cutting power mid-sequence creates a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot.

Device not completing boot sequence on new battery

The VWSP-100 runs a BMS learn cycle during its first few power-on sequences after a cell replacement. On a fresh cell, the battery management system has no stored capacity data, so it applies conservative thresholds during boot verification. This can cause the device to stall or restart partway through the startup sequence. Run one full charge-discharge cycle before clinical use — this gives the BMS enough data to pass the boot check cleanly.

Charge indicator not reaching 100% on the first charge

This is a charge IC behaviour on fresh Li-MnO2 cells, not a fault. The charge controller applies a conservative current limit on the first fill because it has no prior cycle data for the new cell. On the second charge, the IC adjusts and the indicator reaches full capacity. If the indicator still stops short after three full cycles, check that the cell voltage at the charge connector reads 12.6V — anything lower points to a contact or charger issue, not the cell itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

The VWSP-100 is alarming low battery immediately after a full charge — why?

The device BMS sets its low-battery alarm threshold based on OEM cell chemistry parameters. A new Li-MnO2 cell needs one complete charge-discharge cycle before the BMS can accurately map its voltage curve. Run one full cycle — charge to 100%, discharge through normal use, then recharge — and the alarm should clear on the next startup.

The device will not power on after the replacement battery sat in storage for a few months — is the cell dead?

Li-MnO2 cells self-discharge in storage, and if the voltage drops below the BMS recovery threshold, the device will refuse to power on as a protection measure. Place the battery on charge for at least 2 hours before attempting to boot the device. If the charge indicator shows activity, the cell is recovering — confirm the voltage at the charge port reaches at least 11.0V before trying to power on again.

The VWSP-100 is shutting off unexpectedly during patient assessments — what causes this on a new battery?

In the first 10 cycles, a new cell has not yet reached its full charge-acceptance capacity, so peak load draws during active use pull the cell voltage down faster than the BMS expects. The device interprets this voltage sag as a critically low state and shuts off to protect the circuit. Complete 5–10 full charge-discharge cycles before relying on this battery in clinical situations — voltage sag stabilises significantly after that break-in period.
