Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Interphone SHAPE / EDGE / F4S / F5MC — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AHB822048-1)
This is a 3.7V 700mAh Li-Polymer replacement cell for the Interphone SHAPE, EDGE, F4S, and F5MC wireless headsets, plus fifteen additional models sharing the same pack. It slots into the headset housing and restores power to the Bluetooth audio and communication circuits. Voltage and form factor match the OEM specification exactly.
- SHAPE, EDGE, F4S, F5MC platform fit: These models share a common 3.7V power rail, identical connector pinout, and the same BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all of them without modification or adapter.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the SHAPE platform. The BMS completed its handshake with the base station, accepted the charge curve without error flags, and held stable voltage under combined Bluetooth radio and audio driver draw.
- First-cycle base station pairing: Seat the headset in the base and run a full charge cycle before making a call. DECT and Bluetooth headsets in this range log the new cell during that first cycle — skipping it causes the talk-time indicator to report inaccurately until the base recalibrates.
Why the SHAPE headset cuts out mid-call on a new battery
The SHAPE draws from two circuits simultaneously during a call — the Bluetooth radio and the audio driver. Combined, these pull more current than the headset draws at idle, and a cell sitting at storage voltage from shipping cannot sustain that load cleanly. The BMS reads the resulting sag as an undervoltage condition and cuts output to protect the cell. Running one full charge cycle in the base station brings the cell to a stable starting voltage and eliminates these mid-call dropouts.
Base station showing charging error after fitting the new pack
The base station handshakes with the cell's BMS before it opens the charge path — if that exchange fails, the base throws a charging error and stops. This usually happens when the cell arrives at a low storage voltage and the BMS is not yet active. Connect the headset to the base and leave it undisturbed for ten minutes; the BMS will initialise as the base trickle-feeds the cell above 3.0V, and the error clears. If the indicator still shows an error after fifteen minutes, reseat the headset in the cradle and check that the contact pins are clean and making full contact.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Interphone SHAPE headset cuts out a few minutes into every call — is the new battery faulty?
It is almost certainly not faulty. Under the combined draw of the Bluetooth radio and audio driver, a cell at shipping storage voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold and the headset drops out to protect the cell. Run the headset through one complete charge cycle in the base station before using it on a call. After that first full cycle, the cell stabilises above 3.5V at rest and sustains the combined load without cutting off.
Talk time seems much shorter than rated for the first few uses — does the capacity improve?
Yes. Li-Polymer cells in this size class do not deliver full capacity straight from storage. Over the first three to five full charge-discharge cycles, the electrolyte fully wets the electrode surface and the BMS learns the actual cell endpoints, both of which extend usable capacity. Avoid pulling the headset off charge early during those first cycles — let the base signal a full charge each time and the rated capacity will be closer to consistent by cycle five.
The headset feels noticeably warm after a long call — is that a sign the battery is failing?
Warmth during extended calls is normal for this form factor. The small housing traps heat generated by the Bluetooth radio, audio driver, and cell discharge all running in a compact space. What matters is whether the headset gets hot enough to be uncomfortable to wear — if it does, the cell may be drawing more current than the circuit expects, which points to a connector contact issue rather than a failing cell. Clean the base station contact pins with a dry cloth and check that the cell sits flush in the housing with no gap at the connector.
