Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

JBL Tune 225 TWS Charging Case — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (GSP571935 02)
This 3.7V, 350mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the internal cell in the JBL Tune 225 TWS charging case. The case uses this cell to store charge and top up the earbuds between uses. When the original cell degrades, the case stops holding charge — swapping this cell restores that function.
- Tune 225 TWS case fit: This battery matches the GSP571935 02 spec used in the Tune 225 TWS case housing. The 36.90 × 18.80 × 5.80mm footprint, 3.7V nominal voltage, and connector orientation all match the original PCB layout. No modification needed to seat the cell.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Tune 225 TWS case. The protection circuit triggered correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and the case passed charge to both earbuds without interruption across multiple cycles.
- First charge after replacement: After fitting, charge the case via USB until the LED indicator confirms full charge before placing earbuds inside. The new cell ships at storage voltage — placing earbuds in immediately will draw from a partially charged cell and the case may show a depleted state sooner than expected.
Why the Tune 225 TWS case stops charging earbuds before the indicator shows empty
A degraded Li-Polymer cell loses usable capacity at the margins first — the voltage drops below the threshold needed to push charge into the earbuds' cells before the case indicator reads zero. The case LED reflects a rough state-of-charge estimate, not real-time output voltage. Once the cell cannot sustain the voltage required by the charging circuit, earbud top-ups stop even though the indicator shows partial charge remaining. Replacing the cell brings output voltage back to spec and the full charge-transfer range is restored.
Case LED shows full charge but earbuds cut off after short use
This happens when the replacement cell — or a worn original — is at storage voltage rather than a true full charge. The indicator reads the resting voltage and reports full, but the cell cannot sustain current delivery once the earbuds draw load. Place the case on USB charge for a complete cycle before use. Once the cell reaches 4.2V and the LED confirms full, the earbuds will draw a consistent charge from the case.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Tune 225 TWS case charges fine overnight but the earbuds still die faster than they used to — is that the case battery?
Yes, a degraded case cell is the most common cause. As the Li-Polymer cell ages, it can no longer deliver a full top-up to the earbuds even when it shows charged — it hits voltage sag mid-transfer and the earbuds end up at 70–80% instead of 100%. Replacing the GSP571935 02 cell restores the full charge-transfer capacity. After fitting, run the case through one complete USB charge cycle before use.
After fitting the new battery, my Tune 225 TWS case gets slightly warm while charging the earbuds — is that normal?
Some warmth is normal during the first few charge cycles as the new cell conditions. The Li-Polymer cell and the case's charging circuit run simultaneously when the case itself is on USB while also topping up the earbuds, which concentrates heat in a small housing. If the case becomes hot to the touch, disconnect USB and let it cool before continuing. Warmth that fades after 3–5 cycles is not a fault.
The Tune 225 TWS case charged earbuds to full twice before — now it barely completes one charge. What happened?
Li-Polymer cells in small charging cases degrade faster with shallow, frequent top-up cycles rather than full discharges. Each short cycle builds internal resistance without fully exercising the cell, and capacity fade accelerates. This is cell wear, not a fault with the earbuds themselves. Replacing the GSP571935 02 cell and then running the case down more fully before recharging — rather than topping it up constantly — slows the next degradation cycle.
