Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bosch Intuvia Display — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AHB502030)
This is a 3.7V, 250mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Bosch Intuvia Display unit. It fits the Intuvia Display, Intuvia E, Performance Line CX, and BDU3XX series e-bike display systems. The AHB502030 cell powers the display screen and wireless communication between the display and the drive unit.
- Intuvia and BDU3XX platform compatibility: These display units share the same compact 3.7V cell pocket, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol across the Intuvia E and Performance Line CX variants — one cell covers the full BDU3XX display family.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and wake cycles on a BDU3XX display. The BMS accepted the new pack without fault codes, the display initialised correctly, and voltage held stable at 3.7V under combined screen and radio draw.
- First-wake cycle on Bosch display units: After fitting, leave the display connected to the e-bike system for a full charge cycle before riding. The BDU3XX controller logs the new cell state during this cycle — skipping it can cause the battery indicator to read inaccurately for the first several rides.
Why the Intuvia display goes blank mid-ride on a new battery
The Intuvia display draws current for both the screen backlight and the Bluetooth or ANT+ radio simultaneously. On a depleted or partially conditioned cell, that combined draw causes a brief voltage sag below the BMS cutoff threshold. The display shuts off as a protection event, not a connection fault. A full initial charge cycle stabilises the cell and raises the cutoff headroom enough to handle the combined load without dropout.
Battery indicator frozen or showing wrong level after replacement
The BDU3XX system stores the previous cell's state-of-charge history in the drive unit controller. When a new cell is fitted at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — the controller maps that reading against the old cell's profile and displays an incorrect level. Ride through two to three full charge and discharge cycles to let the controller recalibrate its fuel gauge against the new cell. After three cycles the indicator should track accurately from 3.7V full charge down to the low-voltage warning threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Bosch Intuvia display turns off by itself mid-ride — is the new battery faulty?
This is almost always a BMS protection cutoff, not a faulty cell. The display pulls current for the screen and the wireless radio at the same time, and a cell that hasn't completed its first full charge cycle can't sustain that combined draw without a brief voltage sag. The BMS reads that sag as an undervoltage event and shuts the display off. Do one complete charge cycle with the display connected to the bike before riding, and the dropout should stop.
The Bosch drive unit controller isn't showing a charge level after I replaced the display battery — just dashes or a blank bar.
The BDU3XX controller compares the new cell's voltage against the previous cell's stored charge profile. If the new cell arrives at storage voltage and that reading doesn't match the expected full-charge value, the controller can't map it and displays dashes. Charge the display to full — the AHB502030 tops out at 4.2V — then let it discharge through normal use twice. By the third cycle the controller recalibrates its gauge and the bar reads correctly.
The Intuvia display feels warm after extended rides — is that a problem with the replacement cell?
Warmth in the display housing is normal when the screen backlight and radio are both active for long periods. The AHB502030 is a 250mAh Li-Polymer cell in a 31.5 × 20 × 5mm pack — there's very little thermal mass to absorb that sustained draw. As long as the display isn't hot to the touch and isn't triggering shutoffs, the temperature is within spec. If it does shut off from heat, check that the display housing back cover is seated fully — a partial seal traps heat against the cell.
