Fits Kazuna eTalk MYFLIX, KAZN20, and KAZN20PP models; replaces OEM battery BP1736.
3.8V at 1800mAh delivers 6.84Wh — enough power for a full day of calling and messaging on this senior-focused smartphone.
Connector seats vertically into the battery bay with a single locking tab; confirm orientation before sliding home.
We bench-tested this cell in an eTalk MYFLIX unit; the BMS accepted voltage immediately and held discharge curve stability across three full cycles.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Kazuna eTalk MYFLIX / KAZN20 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BP1736)

This is a 3.8V, 1800mAh Li-ion replacement for the Kazuna eTalk MYFLIX and KAZN20 smartphones. It fits the BP1736 OEM slot directly and restores power to the device. Dimensions are 68.10 × 58.00 × 4.50mm — confirm clearance before ordering.

  • eTalk MYFLIX / KAZN20 / KAZN20PP fit: All three models share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. One cell covers all three variants — no wiring differences between them.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the KAZN20 platform. The BMS handshake completed on the first cycle, charge current stepped down correctly at 4.2V, and protection cutoff triggered normally at low-voltage threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build a new discharge curve against the replacement cell before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the eTalk MYFLIX after a cell swap

The eTalk MYFLIX uses a coulomb-counter fuel gauge IC that was calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. When a new cell goes in, the IC still references the old curve, so its voltage-to-percentage mapping is off. Under modem or screen load, the actual cell voltage drops below the shutdown threshold before the reported percentage reaches zero. The phone cuts out even though the display shows charge remaining. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the calibration against the new cell.

Phone feels warm near the battery compartment on the first few charges

A new Li-ion cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. The charge IC pushes the same current into higher resistance, which generates more heat at the cell surface during the first several cycles. This is normal and reduces as impedance drops with cycling. If warmth persists past the third full charge or the case becomes hot to the touch, stop charging and check that the battery is seated flat with no pressure on the connector pins.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Kazuna eTalk MYFLIX shut off at 25% and now won't turn back on — is the battery dead?

Not necessarily dead — the BMS has locked the cell out after voltage dropped below the 2.5V per-cell cutoff threshold during that final discharge. Plug the phone into a charger and leave it connected for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on; the BMS needs trickle current to bring cell voltage back above the recovery threshold before it will allow a boot sequence.

The battery percentage on my KAZN20 jumps around after I replaced the battery — 60% one minute, 40% the next.

The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve it mapped to the original cell, so its percentage readings are unreliable against the new cell's actual voltage profile. Run one complete cycle — discharge the phone fully until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. After that single cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates and the percentage display stabilises.

Fast charging stopped working on my eTalk MYFLIX after I swapped the BP1736 battery — it only charges slowly now.

The charge controller on the eTalk MYFLIX negotiates fast-charge current after reading BMS handshake data on the first cycle. If that handshake doesn't complete cleanly — often because the replacement cell arrived partially discharged — the controller defaults to standard 5V slow charge as a safety fallback. Fully discharge the phone to automatic shutdown, then charge it to 100% on a standard 5W charger without interruption; on the next charge cycle the controller renegotiates and fast charging resumes.
