Fits Koamtac KDC30, KDC350, KDC400, KDC410 and related models; replaces OEM part numbers 699800, KDC-BAT400, and KDCSPB1200.
This 3.7V, 1100mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 4.07Wh — sufficient for full-shift scanning in retail and warehouse environments without midday swaps.
Connector slides straight into the battery door slot with positive contact alignment; locking tab seats flush and holds under normal field handling.
We tested charge acceptance on a KDC30 cradle — BMS initialized clean on first cycle, no fault codes, and accepted trickle current through dock contacts without resistance spikes.
After installing this cell, place the scanner in its cradle for a complete charge before first shift — scan trigger inrush is highest on near-empty packs and a pre-charged cell prevents false BMS cutoffs during rapid barcode bursts.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

KOAMTAC KDC30 / KDC350 / KDC400 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (699800)

This 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the KOAMTAC KDC30, KDC350, KDC400, and KDC410 barcode scanners. It matches the OEM part numbers 699800, KDC-BAT400, and KDCSPB1200. Same voltage, same form factor, same connector — drop the cell in and the scanner powers on.

  • KDC30 / KDC350 / KDC400 / KDC410 compatibility: These models share the same 3.7V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol, which is why a single cell covers the whole line. Swapping between any of them requires no adapter or firmware change.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a KDC400 test unit. The BMS accepted the pack without a protection-trip error, and the scanner's charge indicator moved through its normal stages without stalling.
  • First-shift preparation for pick-and-pack environments: After installing, seat the scanner in its cradle and run a full charge cycle before putting it into rotation. The scan trigger draws the highest inrush current when the cell is near minimum — a fully charged pack on the first shift prevents false BMS trips during rapid barcode bursts.

Cradle showing a charging error on a new pack

KOAMTAC cradles use a contact-resistance check during the handshake phase before charging begins. If the gold contacts on the battery or the dock pins have any oxidation or debris, resistance reads high and the cradle flags a charging fault. This is not a cell fault — it is a contact fault. Wipe the battery contacts and dock pins with a dry lint-free cloth, then reseat the scanner firmly until you hear the click. The charging LED should switch to amber within 10 seconds of a clean reseat.

Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts

The KDC series sends scanned data over Bluetooth while the imager is still active, which means the radio and scan engine draw current at the same time. On a partially depleted cell, this combined inrush can pull voltage below the BMS's floor threshold, causing a momentary power collapse that drops the Bluetooth link. The scanner reconnects after a second or two, but the pairing session restarts and queued data may not transmit. Keep the cell above 3.6V during high-frequency scan sessions — if disconnects increase toward the end of a shift, the cell needs charging before the next run.

Frequently Asked Questions

My KDC30 won't read barcodes at all after I put in the new battery — the scanner powers on but the laser doesn't fire. What's wrong?

The scan engine needs enough voltage to fire the laser or imager, and a cell shipped in storage state may sit below that threshold even though the scanner powers on. Place the scanner in the cradle and charge it fully before attempting to scan. Once the cell reaches 4.1–4.2V, the scan engine gets the current it needs and the trigger will respond normally.

The scanner feels noticeably warm after a few hours of continuous use — is that a battery problem?

Warmth during extended shifts is normal for this form factor. The KDC housing is compact, and heat from the combined scan engine, Bluetooth radio, and the cell itself has limited surface area to dissipate from. If the scanner becomes too hot to hold comfortably, the BMS may be seeing sustained high current draw — rotate a second charged pack into service and let the warm unit cool in the cradle before recharging it.

The new battery doesn't seem to last as long as the original did on day one — shift endurance is noticeably shorter. What affects how long the charge actually holds?

Two factors hit the KDC hardest: scan burst frequency and Bluetooth polling interval. A scanner set to continuous polling and rapid multi-scan triggers will drain the 1100mAh cell faster than one doing intermittent single scans with a longer Bluetooth sleep cycle. Check the KDC Utility settings and reduce the polling interval if your workflow allows it. If shift endurance is still short after a full conditioning cycle — charge to 4.2V, deplete through normal use, recharge fully — the cell is working correctly and the workflow draw is the variable to adjust.
