Fits Panasonic Handheld H320 barcode scanner, replaces OEM part numbers JT-H320HT-E1, JT-H320HT-E2, and JT-H320BT-10.
3.7V Li-ion cell at 890mAh capacity delivers the inrush current required for scan trigger and wireless radio without voltage sag.
Connector mates directly into the scanner battery slot with a positive contact tab that locks perpendicular to the pack face.
We cycled this cell through 50 charge-discharge cycles on the Panasonic cradle dock; BMS settled into normal operation after the second full charge.
Place the scanner in its cradle for a full charge cycle before using in pick-and-pack — the scan trigger inrush current is highest when the cell is near minimum and a pre-charged cell prevents false BMS trips on the first shift.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panasonic Handheld H320 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (JT-H320HT-E1)

This 3.7V Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Panasonic Handheld H320 barcode scanner series. It fits the JT-H320HT, JT-H320HT-E1, and JT-H320HT-E2 scanner variants. Capacity is 890mAh (3.29Wh), matching the OEM specification.

  • H320 series fit: The JT-H320HT, JT-H320HT-E1, and JT-H320HT-E2 share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers the range. The JT-H320BT-10 also draws from this same pack format.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through scan-trigger inrush and wireless polling cycles on the H320 platform. The BMS handled simultaneous radio and laser draw without tripping, and the protection circuit capped discharge correctly at the low-voltage threshold.
  • First-shift preparation: After installing, seat the scanner in its cradle and run a full charge cycle before the first pick-and-pack shift. Scan trigger inrush is highest when the cell sits near minimum voltage — a fully charged pack prevents false BMS trips during the first burst sequence of the day.

Cradle showing a charging error on a new pack

The H320 cradle reads pack state through the dock contacts before committing to a charge cycle. Oxidation or debris on either the cradle pins or the battery contact pads creates enough resistance to trigger a handshake fault. The dock interprets this as a pack error, not a contact issue, so it throws a charging error LED rather than starting the cycle. Wipe the battery contact pads and cradle pins with a dry cloth, reseat firmly, and the charge cycle should initiate within 10 seconds.

Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts

The H320 draws from the same cell for both the wireless radio and the scan trigger simultaneously. During a fast scan burst, the combined inrush pulls the cell voltage down sharply — if the pack is partially depleted, this momentary sag drops below the radio module's minimum operating threshold. The wireless stack drops the connection, and the scanner appears to freeze or disconnect mid-session. Charge the pack above 3.9V before a high-frequency scanning shift to keep the voltage headroom sufficient for both draws at once.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my H320 scanner stop reading barcodes right after I put the new battery in?

The imager and laser module require a minimum supply voltage to fire correctly — if the replacement cell shipped partially discharged, the scan trigger inrush pulls it below that threshold immediately. The scanner may power on and appear normal but fail to read because the imager never gets full drive voltage. Seat the pack in the cradle and complete a full charge cycle first. Once the cell reads above 3.9V, the scanner should read barcodes on the first trigger pull.

The scanner runs noticeably warm after a long warehouse shift — is that a battery problem?

In the H320's enclosed housing, sustained scan-plus-wireless draw generates heat that has limited paths to dissipate. The cell itself contributes some warmth under continuous load, but the bigger factor is the radio module cycling at high polling frequency alongside repeated scan triggers. This is normal operating behaviour and does not indicate a fault with the pack. If the unit becomes too hot to hold comfortably, reduce scan burst frequency or allow a short rest period — the housing temperature should drop within a few minutes.

My H320 battery seems to drain faster than the original after a few weeks — what causes that?

Li-ion cells in high-cycle scan environments degrade faster when they are repeatedly pulled to very low charge before docking. Shallow-cycle use — docking the scanner after every few scans rather than running it down — actually preserves cell capacity longer. Check whether the scanner is being left off the cradle overnight at low charge; a cell sitting below 3.5V for extended periods accelerates capacity fade. Keep the pack above 3.6V when storing the unit overnight to slow this effect.
