Fits LXE MX6 barcode scanners; replaces OEM part numbers 200-00591-01, 20000591-01, 200002586, 20000702, and 20000702-02.
7.4V, 3400mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full scan-and-wireless power without midshift voltage sag during pick-and-pack cycles.
Connector seats vertically into the MX6 battery slot with a single locking tab on the right side; orient contacts upward.
We bench-tested this cell in an MX6 cradle dock; the BMS accepted the charge handshake on first insertion with no fault codes.
After installing, place the scanner in its cradle for a full charge cycle before using in pick-and-pack operations; this prevents false BMS trips when scan trigger inrush current peaks on a partially charged cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LXE MX6 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (200-00591-01)

This is a 7.4V, 3400mAh lithium-ion battery for the LXE MX6 mobile data terminal. It fits the MX6 handheld used in warehouse and inventory operations. Voltage and capacity match the OEM specification exactly.

  • MX6 platform fit: The MX6 uses a 7.4V two-cell Li-ion pack with a BMS that validates cell voltage and NTC temperature data before the device will boot. This replacement carries the same connector pinout and BMS handshake logic the MX6 expects, so the terminal recognises the pack on first insertion.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the MX6 platform. The BMS held stable across scan-trigger inrush events and sustained wireless radio load. No false low-voltage cutoffs were recorded during testing.
  • First-shift prep on the MX6: After installing this battery, seat the MX6 in its cradle and run a full charge cycle before putting the unit into pick-and-pack rotation. Scan-trigger inrush current spikes highest when the cell is near minimum charge — a pre-charged pack prevents the BMS from tripping on the first shift draw.

Cradle showing a charging error on a new pack

The MX6 cradle reads contact resistance at the charge pins before it opens the charge circuit. If dock contacts or battery terminals have oxidation or debris, resistance reads high and the cradle flags a fault instead of charging. Wipe the gold contacts on both the battery and the cradle dock with a dry lint-free cloth, then reseat the unit firmly. If the error clears, run the unit through a full cycle before returning it to the floor.

Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts

During rapid scanning, the MX6 draws simultaneously from the scan trigger and the wireless radio — two inrush events stacking within milliseconds. A degraded or partially charged battery sags below the radio module's minimum operating voltage under this combined load, dropping the wireless link mid-session. This is not a radio fault — it is a voltage-sag event. Charge the replacement pack to full before the shift and confirm resting voltage is at or above 7.4V before deployment.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MX6 won't read barcodes after swapping in the new battery — the laser fires but scans fail. What's wrong?

The MX6 imager and laser module require stable voltage above the scan-trigger threshold to decode reliably. If the replacement pack shipped partially discharged, inrush from the scan trigger pulls cell voltage low enough to cause incomplete reads. Seat the scanner in its cradle and charge to full before using it on the floor. Once the pack reaches a full charge, the imager will draw cleanly and scans will register correctly.

The MX6 ran through the battery much faster this shift than the old pack did — same workflow, same scan volume. Why?

Scan burst frequency and wireless polling both draw from the same cell simultaneously, and a new pack that hasn't completed its first full charge cycle won't deliver its full 3400mAh of capacity. Shallow-charged cells also report inaccurate state-of-charge to the terminal, making the gauge drop faster than actual depletion. Run the pack through at least one complete charge cycle in the cradle — charge terminated, not just interrupted — before measuring shift endurance. After two or three full cycles, capacity stabilises at rated spec.

The MX6 feels noticeably warm after a long shift with the new battery. Is that normal?

Some heat is expected — the MX6 housing is compact, and sustained scanning plus active wireless radio in an enclosed form factor generates thermal load at the cell. The pack surface should feel warm, not hot. If the housing is too hot to hold comfortably, the BMS may be running the cell harder than expected due to a high-resistance connection at the battery terminals. Remove the pack, wipe the terminal contacts clean, and reseat. If warmth drops to a normal level after that, the contact resistance was the cause.
