The imager and decode processor need stable voltage above a minimum threshold to complete a scan cycle. The new battery seems to drain faster than expected compared to the old one — what affects shift endurance?

Scan burst frequency and wireless polling interval are the two biggest draws on the FX1380 pack, and both vary by workflow. A picker scanning every few seconds in a dense RF environment draws significantly more than one doing intermittent lookups on a quiet network. Check the wireless channel congestion on your network — a scanner repeatedly retrying RF packets burns cell capacity faster than clean transmission. If the pack is fully charged to 12.6V at the start of the shift and endurance is still short, log the scan volume per shift and compare it against the previous battery's age, as an aged cell often appears to last longer early in the day before dropping off sharply.
