Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Krome BTR5600B / ST26A / ST26B — 3.7V Li-ion 2200mAh Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V lithium-ion cell rated at 2200mAh (8.14Wh), sourced to match the OEM part numbers BTR5600B, ST26A, and ST26B. It replaces the original battery in compatible smartphones when the existing cell can no longer hold a full charge. Voltage and connector spec match the original to work with the device's existing charge IC and fuel gauge circuit.
- BTR5600B / ST26A / ST26B platform fit: These three part numbers share the same cell format, voltage rail, and connector pinout — which is why one replacement covers all three. The BMS handshake on each variant communicates over the same lines, so the charge IC accepts this cell without requiring a firmware workaround.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a bench rig matching the OEM voltage profile. The BMS held cutoff correctly at the low-voltage threshold and accepted a full charge cycle without triggering protection mode.
- First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This allows the fuel gauge IC to map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated reference.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% after fitting the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve it learned from the old, degraded cell. The replacement cell has a steeper voltage drop under modem or screen load than the gauge expects at that state-of-charge. When voltage sags below the processor's minimum rail during a high-draw moment — even briefly — the phone shuts down as a protective measure. Running one full discharge to 0% and a complete charge to 100% lets the coulomb counter relearn the new cell's curve and eliminate premature cutoffs.
Phone not powering on after the battery sat discharged in storage
Li-ion cells shipped or stored in a deeply discharged state can drop below 2.5V per cell, which triggers a BMS lockout to prevent unsafe charging. The phone will show no response to the power button and may not register on a charger at all. Connect to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power on. Once the BMS detects the cell has recovered above its reinitialisation threshold, typically around 3.0V, normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my phone show the wrong battery percentage after fitting the new BTR5600B cell?
The fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve built from the old cell's behaviour — it doesn't automatically reset when you swap the battery. With a new cell in place, the coulomb counter is reading against the wrong reference, so reported percentage drifts from actual charge state. Run one full discharge down to auto-shutdown and a complete charge to 100% at standard (non-fast) charge rate. After that single calibration cycle, the gauge IC recalculates against the new cell and percentage reporting stabilises.
Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after replacing the battery — what happened?
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes rejects the USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge handshake because it doesn't yet have a verified thermal and impedance baseline for the new cell. This is a protective default, not a fault with the battery. Charge once at standard rate using the OEM cable and adaptor, and let the cycle complete fully. Most devices re-enable fast charging automatically on the second cycle once the charge IC accepts the new cell's impedance profile.
The phone feels warm near the battery during charging — is that normal with a new cell?
A new cell typically has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, which means the charge IC pushes current into a higher-resistance load and generates more heat in the early cycles. This is most noticeable during the first few charges and drops off as the cell conditions. If the phone is too hot to hold comfortably or charging abruptly stops, remove any case to improve airflow and switch to a standard-rate charger rather than fast charge until the cell has completed two or three full cycles.
