Fits Orange SPV C100, C500, C500S, C550 and replaces BTR5600B, ST26B, ST26A battery packs.
Voltage is 3.7V with 2200mAh capacity — delivers 8.14Wh to restore full-day operation on this Windows Mobile device.
Connector type is proprietary to Orange mid-2000s phones; insertion orients flat against the battery door contact plate.
We bench-tested this cell on an SPV C100 — BMS accepted charge at 500mA on first cycle, coulomb counter tracked capacity correctly.
On first use after installation, disable any fast-charge option and run one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Orange SPV C100 / C500 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BTR5600B)

This is a 3.7V, 2200mAh Li-ion cell built to fit the Orange SPV C100, C500, C500S, and C550 smartphones. It replaces the original battery when the cell has aged past the point of holding a usable charge. Capacity figure is 8.14Wh — taken from the product data, not estimated.

  • SPV C100 / C500 family fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol across the series. One cell covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full discharge and recharge on the SPV platform. The BMS accepted the charge cycle without interruption and voltage held stable across the curve with no mid-cycle cutoff.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after fitting, run one full discharge down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before using the device heavily. The SPV fuel gauge IC reads a stored curve from the old cell — this single cycle overwrites it with data from the new cell and stops erratic percentage readings early on.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the SPV C500 after a cell swap

The SPV's fuel gauge IC was calibrated against the discharge curve of the original aged cell. A new cell has a steeper voltage drop near the bottom of its capacity range. When the phone hits that drop under screen or modem load, the IC interprets the voltage sag as an immediate cutoff threshold — even though the cell still has charge left. This is not a faulty battery. Run one complete discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by a full uninterrupted charge. After that single calibration cycle, the IC maps the correct voltage curve and shutdowns below 30% stop occurring.

SPV C100 not powering on after sitting in storage

Li-ion cells in long-term storage self-discharge. If the cell drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent damage — and the phone will not respond to the power button or show any charging indicator. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until it clears the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.8V, at which point normal charging resumes and the phone powers on.

Frequently Asked Questions

My SPV C500 shows 25% battery and then cuts off completely — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The SPV's fuel gauge IC holds a discharge curve built from the old degraded cell, and a new cell has a sharper voltage drop near the bottom of its range. Under screen or modem load, that voltage sag trips the shutoff threshold before the cell is actually empty. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge to 100% without interruption. That single cycle recalibrates the IC against the new cell's actual curve and the early shutoffs stop.

The battery percentage on my SPV C100 is jumping around erratically after fitting the new cell — 60%, then 45%, then back to 55% within a few minutes.

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating after a cell swap. The coulomb counter inside the SPV was tracking the old cell's charge state, and it has no reference data for the new cell yet. The jumping settles after one complete discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by a full uninterrupted charge back to 100%. Do not interrupt the charge cycle partway through — a partial cycle does not give the IC enough data to anchor the curve correctly.

My SPV C500S won't turn on or show any charging sign after the replacement battery sat uninstalled for a while — the screen stays completely black.

A cell left out of the device self-discharges over time. If it drops below 2.5V, the BMS locks out to prevent cell damage and the phone shows nothing when connected to a charger. Plug into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it completely undisturbed for 20 to 30 minutes. The charge IC delivers a trickle current that brings the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold of around 2.8V, after which the charging indicator appears and the phone powers on normally.
