Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LeTV Le 1s / X500 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (LT55C)
This is a 3.8V, 3000mAh (11.4Wh) Li-Polymer cell built to replace the original LT55C battery in the LeTV Le 1s and X500 smartphones. It fits the standard Le 1s, Le 1s Dual SIM TD-LTE 32GB, and the X500 variant. When the original cell degrades and can no longer hold a stable charge, this swap restores the phone to a functional power state.
- Le 1s and X500 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The LT55C part number covers the full range — no adapter or wiring modification needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge and discharge cycles on the Le 1s with this cell installed. The BMS accepted a standard charge cycle without triggering overcurrent protection, and the fuel gauge IC initialised correctly after one full cycle.
- First-cycle fast charge lockout: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This allows the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes load into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Le 1s after a cell swap
The Le 1s fuel gauge IC calibrates its percentage readout against the original cell's voltage-discharge curve. A new cell has a slightly different curve — so what the IC reports as 25% may be the actual voltage floor of the new cell under modem or display load. When the phone pulls peak current during a call or screen wake, the cell voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold and the phone shuts off. Run one full discharge to near-zero, then a full charge with fast charging disabled — the coulomb counter resets and percentage accuracy improves significantly.
Phone stays warm near the battery during the first few charges
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. The charge IC on the Le 1s pushes current into this higher-impedance cell, and the extra resistance converts some of that energy to heat. This is normal for the first two to three charge cycles as the cell's internal structure stabilises. If warmth continues past the third full charge or the back of the phone becomes hot to the touch, check that the adhesive securing the cell is not pressing the pouch against the rear housing — restricted airflow amplifies heat buildup.

Frequently Asked Questions
My LeTV Le 1s shows 25% battery and then shuts off without warning — is the new cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The Le 1s fuel gauge IC is still reading the old cell's discharge curve, so the voltage floor hits before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Run the phone down until it powers off on its own, then charge it fully to 100% with fast charging off — this forces the coulomb counter to recalibrate against the new LT55C cell curve. After one complete cycle, the shutdown-at-25% behaviour typically stops.
The Le 1s won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — did the BMS lock out?
Yes, most likely. Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the LT55C dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters a protective lockout state and blocks normal charging to prevent damage to a deeply discharged pouch. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it connected for 20 to 40 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC delivers a low-current trickle that recovers the cell voltage back above the BMS re-enable threshold, after which the phone should boot normally.
Fast charging on the Le 1s stopped working after I installed this battery — the phone just charges slowly now.
This is a first-cycle behaviour tied to how the Le 1s charge controller negotiates fast charge protocols. On an uncalibrated new cell, the BMS reports conservative charge acceptance parameters, and the phone's charge IC defaults to standard current until it has enough cycle data to trust the cell. Disable fast charging in the phone's settings, complete one full discharge-charge cycle, then re-enable fast charging — the BMS handshake should negotiate the higher current rate correctly from the second cycle onward.
