Coolpad 8076D / 5217 / 8076 / 7060 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CPLD-110)

This is a 3.7V, 1400mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Coolpad 8076D, 5217, 8076, and 7060 smartphones. It uses OEM part number CPLD-110 and slots into the same battery bay as the original cell. If your phone won't hold a charge or shuts down unexpectedly, this cell replaces the degraded original.

This is a voltage cliff issue. The fuel gauge IC on the 8076D was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original, worn cell. When the phone reads 20–30% on the new cell, the voltage under modem and screen load drops faster than the IC expects, triggering an emergency shutdown. It is not a fault in the replacement cell. One full discharge-charge cycle — down to automatic shutdown, then charged uninterrupted to 100% — resets the coulomb counter and removes the cliff.

OS reporting wrong battery percentage after CPLD-110 installation

The Coolpad fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge model from the previous cell. A new 1400mAh cell with a different internal resistance profile will read incorrectly until the IC re-learns the curve. You may see the percentage jump erratically or stall at a fixed number. Run the phone from 100% down to automatic shutdown without interruption, then charge back to full without disconnecting — this gives the IC one complete dataset to recalibrate against the new cell.
