Fits LG G7100, Q800, and G7120 smartphones; replaces OEM part BSL-21G.
3.7V and 850mAh capacity restores full talk time and standby runtime on this feature phone.
Connector slides vertically into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the left edge.
We ran a full discharge cycle on the G7100; the BMS held stable voltage until final 10% cutoff.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle before enabling any fast-charge mode to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG G7100 / Q800 / G7120 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BSL-21G)

This is a 3.7V 850mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the LG G7100, Q800, and G7120 smartphones. It replaces OEM part BSL-21G directly. Fit this when the original cell no longer holds charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly under load.

  • G7100, Q800, and G7120 compatibility: All three models share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V nominal voltage rail, and BSL-21G connector pinout — the BMS handshake is identical across the series, so one cell covers all three variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the G7100 platform. The BMS accepted charge without flagging an incompatibility error, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold during the drain test.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated coulomb counter — otherwise the percentage readout will be unreliable from day one.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BSL-21G replacement cell

This happens because the phone's fuel gauge IC is still referencing the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage cliff at lower state-of-charge, and the modem or screen draws enough current to pull cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold before the gauge reaches 0%. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge to automatic shutdown followed by a full charge — this forces the coulomb counter to re-anchor its end-point calibration. After that cycle, shutdowns below 20% should stop.

Phone not powering on after the BSL-21G sat in storage

Li-ion cells stored at low charge self-discharge over time. If the cell drops below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout to prevent damage and the phone will show no response when the power button is pressed. Connect to a wall charger — not a computer USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power on. Most BMS circuits will accept a trickle from the charge IC at this voltage and exit lockout once the cell clears 3.0V, at which point the phone will boot normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my LG G7100 showing the wrong battery percentage after fitting the new BSL-21G cell?

The fuel gauge IC in the G7100 calibrates its percentage readout against the discharge curve of whichever cell it last fully cycled. A new cell has a different curve, so the stored calibration data is wrong from the moment you install it. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without removing the phone from the charger. After that single cycle the coulomb counter re-anchors to the new cell and the percentage readout becomes accurate.

My G7100 gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges — is something wrong?

A new Li-ion cell typically has slightly higher internal impedance than a well-cycled one. The charge IC pushes current into higher resistance during those first cycles, and that converts more energy to heat than usual. This is normal for the first two to three charge cycles and settles as the cell forms. If warmth continues beyond the third full charge or the phone becomes hot to the touch, stop charging and check that the battery contacts are clean and seated flat against the connector pins.

Fast charging stopped working on my G7100 after I replaced the battery — what happened?

The phone's charge controller negotiates fast charge protocol on the first cycle after a new cell is installed. If the BMS on the replacement cell did not respond to that handshake within the expected window — which can happen if the cell voltage was low on arrival — the controller falls back to standard charge rate and may stay there. Fully discharge the phone to automatic shutdown, then plug into the original wall adapter and let it charge to 100% without interruption. That forces a fresh protocol negotiation at the start of the next charge cycle, and fast charging should resume.
