Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG EG880 / G5400 / G5410 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V, 800mAh Li-ion battery for the LG EG880, G5400, and G5410 candybar-style mobile phones. It fits when the original cell can no longer hold a usable charge. Dimensions are 61.04 × 42.25 × 6.37mm — confirm against your original before installing.
- EG880, G5400, G5410 platform fit: These three models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V nominal voltage rail. One cell covers all three without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS held cutoff correctly at both ends — no overcharge trip, no premature low-voltage lockout under screen-on load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, run one complete discharge down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The phone's fuel gauge IC is still mapped to the old cell's discharge curve — skipping this step will cause the percentage readout to drift or jump until it recalibrates.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't recalibrated to the new cell's actual discharge curve. The phone sees a voltage drop it wasn't expecting at that state-of-charge level and triggers an emergency shutoff. It isn't a fault with the battery — it's the coulomb counter working off stale reference data. Run one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by a full uninterrupted charge, and the shutoffs will stop.
Phone warm near the battery compartment on the first charge
A new Li-ion cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. During the first charge cycle, the charge IC pushes current into a cell that resists more than the old one did — that resistance converts to heat. The warmth is localised to the battery compartment and tapers off after the first full cycle. If the phone stays hot or the compartment becomes uncomfortable to touch, stop charging and check that the replacement cell is seated flat with no gap at the contacts.

Frequently Asked Questions
My LG EG880 shows 25% battery left and then shuts off without warning — is the new battery faulty?
The new cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC in the EG880 is still running off the discharge curve it learned from your old degraded cell — so its percentage readout diverges sharply from actual cell voltage under load. When the phone draws current for a call or the backlight, voltage drops below the shutdown threshold before the counter reaches 0%. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%, and the IC will remap to the new cell's curve.
The battery percentage on my LG G5400 is jumping around erratically after I put the new battery in — what's causing that?
The coulomb counter hasn't seen a full reference cycle on the new cell yet, so it's interpolating percentage from incomplete data and the readout skips. This is normal for the first one to two cycles after a cell swap. Let the phone discharge fully until it shuts itself off, then charge straight to 100% without interrupting. After that cycle the counter locks onto the new cell's actual discharge profile and the jumping stops.
My LG G5410 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — how do I recover it?
A Li-ion cell in storage self-discharges slowly, and if it dropped below roughly 2.5V the BMS has gone into lockout to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a charger and leave it connected for at least 20–30 minutes before pressing the power button — the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell to lift it above the BMS recovery threshold first. If the charging indicator doesn't appear within 5 minutes, try a different cable and adapter, then check that the battery contacts inside the compartment are clean and making full contact.
