Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG K10 2017 / M250N — 3.85V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BL-46G1F)
This is a 3.85V, 2700mAh Li-ion cell replacing the OEM BL-46G1F in the LG K10 2017. It fits the M250N, K121K, X400, and 18 additional variants sharing the same battery bay and connector. If your K10 2017 drains fast, shuts down unexpectedly, or won't hold a charge, the original BL-46G1F cell has likely degraded beyond usable capacity.
- K10 2017 variant compatibility: The M250N, K121K, and X400 all run the same 3.85V power rail and use the identical BL-46G1F form factor — same footprint at 78.00 × 52.06 × 4.70mm, same connector pinout, same BMS handshake protocol. No modification needed across this variant group.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the K10 2017 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, thermal behaviour stayed within normal range during charge, and the fuel gauge IC began tracking discharge current correctly after the first full cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the K10 2017 after a cell swap
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old, degraded cell's voltage curve. The new cell has a steeper voltage cliff under modem or screen load — the IC reads 25% state of charge, but actual cell voltage drops below the shutdown threshold the moment current draw spikes. The phone cuts power before the percentage reaches zero. One full discharge cycle without fast charging forces the coulomb counter to re-anchor to the new cell's actual capacity endpoint at roughly 3.0V cutoff.
K10 2017 reporting wrong battery percentage after replacement
The LG K10 2017 uses a fuel gauge IC that stores learned capacity data from the previous cell. After swapping to the BL-46G1F replacement, the stored data no longer matches the new cell's discharge profile, so percentage readings jump or stall — commonly freezing at 50% or dropping suddenly. This is not a fault in the replacement cell. Discharge the phone until it shuts down automatically, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without removing the cable early. That single cycle resets the IC's reference points and the percentage display stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions
My LG K10 2017 shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the K10 2017 is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage curve, so it misreads state of charge on the new cell. Under modem or screen load, actual cell voltage drops faster than the IC expects and the phone cuts power. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption — after that cycle the coulomb counter re-anchors to the correct voltage endpoint near 3.0V.
Fast charging stopped working on my K10 2017 after I put in the replacement BL-46G1F — the phone only slow charges now.
On the first charge cycle, the charge IC can fall back to standard current until it handshakes with the new cell's BMS and confirms thermal and impedance parameters are within range. This is normal behaviour on the first cycle after a cell swap. Plug in using the original LG charger and cable, let the phone charge fully without interrupting it, then unplug and replug — fast charge protocol is typically accepted from the second cycle onward.
The K10 2017 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before installation.
A cell stored at low charge for several months can drop below 2.5V, which triggers BMS lockout to prevent damage — the phone will not respond to the power button in this state. Connect the phone to a low-current charger (a standard 5W USB adapter, not a fast charger) and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing any buttons. The BMS needs trickle current to recover cell voltage above its reactivation threshold before normal charging and boot can proceed. Once the charge indicator appears on screen, the BMS has exited lockout and the phone will power on normally.
