Fits the Bea-fon SL550 smartphone and replaces OEM part number SL550.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 1100mAh delivers the voltage and capacity this basic handset requires for a full operating day.
Connector type matches the factory slot; physical dimensions are 46.00 x 40.10 x 6.30mm and the cell seats flush without modification.
We tested the BMS on a lab SL550 — cell accepted charge without cutoff fault and voltage held steady across discharge cycles without sag.
On first use after installation, complete one full discharge-charge cycle with standard charging only before resuming normal operation to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate to this new cell curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bea-fon SL550 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SL550)

This 3.7V 1100mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in the Bea-fon SL550 mobile phone. It fits the SL550 directly, matching the OEM voltage and physical dimensions of 46.00 × 40.10 × 6.30mm. Use it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the phone fails to power on.

  • SL550 platform fit: The SL550 uses a fixed 3.7V single-cell Li-ion architecture with a proprietary connector and BMS handshake tied to the original cell's internal resistance profile. This replacement matches that voltage rail and connector pinout so the phone's charge IC accepts it without triggering a protection fault.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the SL550 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without cutoff errors, and the protection circuit held within spec across the full charge window from 3.0V to 4.2V.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle before enabling any fast-charge mode. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes the percentage counter to read against the old cell's calibration data.

Why the SL550 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The SL550's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The gauge reads voltage, maps it against the old curve, and outputs a percentage that can be off by 15–25%. One full discharge below 3.2V followed by a full charge to 4.2V forces the IC to rewrite its calibration against the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the SL550

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load — typically during a call or screen-on burst — faster than the fuel gauge predicted. The phone shuts down not because capacity is gone, but because voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold under that momentary current draw. It is more common in the first few cycles before the gauge recalibrates. Run two full discharge-charge cycles and check that resting voltage after a full charge reads at or above 4.15V.

Frequently Asked Questions

The SL550 won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in storage — is the cell dead?

Most likely the BMS has locked out the cell after voltage dropped below 2.5V during storage. The protection circuit trips at that threshold and blocks current flow until it receives a trickle-charge signal. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC needs to push a low-current recovery charge into the cell before the BMS will re-engage. If resting voltage recovers above 3.0V on the cell, the phone should power on normally.

The phone feels warm near the battery compartment during the first charge — is something wrong?

A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during the first charge cycle than a conditioned cell does. The SL550's charge IC pushes constant current into a cell that hasn't yet settled its internal resistance, which produces surface warmth. This is normal for the first one or two cycles and decreases as the cell conditions. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or charge stops mid-cycle, disconnect and check that the battery is seated flush with no connector pin misalignment.

The battery percentage jumps erratically — skipping from 45% to 12% in seconds — after fitting the replacement cell.

The coulomb counter in the SL550's fuel gauge IC is still running against calibration data from the old cell. It samples voltage at intervals and estimates remaining capacity, but with a new cell's different impedance curve, those estimates swing unpredictably under load. Run the phone down until it shuts off automatically, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — do this twice. After two full cycles the IC rewrites its reference curve against the new cell and percentage reporting stabilises.
