Fits LG LX370 and LG LX290 slider phones, replaces OEM part LGIP-430N.
3.7V at 650mAh gives this slider phone enough capacity for full-day standby and moderate calling.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with no locking tab — orientation matters on insertion.
We bench-tested this cell on LG's fuel gauge IC; BMS accepted voltage immediately, no fault delay observed.
On first charge after installation, complete one full discharge-charge cycle before resuming normal use — the fuel gauge IC needs to recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve to report accurate percentage.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG LX370 Slider Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LGIP-430N)

This 3.7V 650mAh Li-ion cell replaces the LGIP-430N in the LG LX370, LX370 Slider, LX290, MT375, and related models. It restores power to devices that no longer hold a charge or fail to power on. Swap it when the original cell degrades and the phone becomes unreliable through a normal day.

  • LX370 and LX290 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay geometry, contact pinout, and 3.7V single-cell architecture. The LGIP-430N connector seats and locks identically across the slider and candybar variants in this LG lineup.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on an LX370 unit. The BMS accepted charge immediately, terminated correctly at 4.2V, and held voltage across standby without anomalous drain.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, run the phone from 100% down to auto-shutdown without interruption, then charge uninterrupted to full. This gives the fuel gauge IC one complete cycle to map the new cell's discharge curve before the percentage readout becomes accurate.

Why the LX370 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The LX370 uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state by coulomb counting against a stored cell profile. When a new cell goes in, the IC still references the old degraded curve. Until it records a full uninterrupted discharge-to-shutdown and full recharge, the percentage it displays is calculated against the wrong baseline. One complete cycle resets that reference point and the percentage readout stabilises.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet recalibrated to the new cell's voltage curve. The phone reads 25% remaining but the cell voltage under screen or modem load drops below the shutdown threshold before the gauge catches up. It is not a faulty cell — it is a calibration gap. Run one full uninterrupted discharge cycle and the cutoff point will align correctly with the displayed percentage.

Frequently Asked Questions

My LG LX370 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?

Likely not dead, but the BMS has locked the cell out after voltage dropped below 2.5V during storage. Plug it in via the original charger and leave it connected for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on — the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will unlock normal operation. If the phone still won't respond after 30 minutes, check that the battery contacts are fully seated and try again. Recovery charge voltage target is 3.0V per cell before the BMS releases to standard charge rate.

The battery percentage on my LX370 is jumping around erratically — showing 60%, then dropping to 40%, then back up — what's going on?

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve, which doesn't match the profile stored from the old cell. This erratic jumping is the IC correcting itself in real time as it gathers discharge data. Run one complete uninterrupted discharge from full charge down to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single full cycle, the percentage readout should stabilise and track consistently.

The LX370 feels noticeably warm near the battery compartment during the first few charges — is something wrong?

A new cell with relatively low internal conditioning can draw slightly higher charge current than a broken-in cell, which generates more heat at the charge IC during the first few cycles. This is expected behaviour on the first one to three charges and settles as the cell's internal impedance normalises. If the phone becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, remove it from the charger and let it cool to room temperature before resuming. After three full charge cycles, surface temperature during charging should drop back to normal.
