Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG Stylo 5 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-T44)
This 3.85V, 3400mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces OEM part BL-T44 in the LG Stylo 5 and its carrier variants including LMQ720PS, LMQ720CS, and LMQ720MS. It fits the same physical footprint as the factory cell at 93.04 × 43.42 × 4.50mm. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.
- Carrier variant compatibility: The LMQ720 series spans Sprint, Verizon, Metro, and T-Mobile hardware. All share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — this cell works across all those variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a Stylo 5 unit through full charge and load cycles. The BMS accepted the charge profile without error, the protection circuit triggered correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and the fuel gauge IC initialised without flags on boot.
- First-cycle fast charge behaviour: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Why the Stylo 5 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The Stylo 5 uses a coulomb-counter fuel gauge IC that builds its charge model against the original cell's impedance and discharge curve over time. When a new cell goes in, the IC still references the old model. This causes the reported percentage to lag behind or jump ahead of actual charge state. One full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the IC to resample against the new cell and correct its internal table.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff, not a capacity problem. Under peak modem or screen load, the new cell briefly drops below the BMS cutoff threshold — typically around 3.2V — even though the reported percentage still shows charge remaining. The fuel gauge IC has not yet mapped where the cell's voltage collapses under load. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charging. After recalibration, the IC anticipates the voltage drop earlier and the OS shuts down closer to 0% rather than 25%.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Stylo 5 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
It is likely not dead — the BMS has locked out below 2.5V per cell after deep discharge in storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger using the original cable and leave it for at least 30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until it clears the BMS lockout threshold, then the device will boot normally. If nothing happens after 45 minutes, try a different wall adapter rated at 5V/1A minimum.
Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery — it only charges slowly now
The USB-PD or Qualcomm Quick Charge handshake between the charger and the phone's charge IC can fail to negotiate on the first cycle with a new cell, defaulting to standard 5V charging. This is a protocol reset issue, not a fault with the battery. Fully discharge the phone to automatic shutdown, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% using the same fast charger. On the second cycle the charge IC re-establishes the high-current handshake and fast charging resumes at the correct rate.
The phone feels warm near the battery for the first hour of charging after the swap — is something wrong?
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC pushes voltage against more resistance in early cycles and generates more heat. This is normal for the first two to three charge cycles and settles as the cell's impedance drops. Keep the phone out of its case during those first cycles to let heat dissipate freely. If the back of the phone exceeds uncomfortable-to-touch heat after the third cycle, check that the battery connector is fully seated and flat — a partially engaged connector increases contact resistance.
