Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG V30 / V30S Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-T34)
The BL-T34 is a 3200mAh, 3.85V Li-Polymer cell that fits the LG V30, V30S, H930, H930G, and over 30 additional H-series variants. It replaces a degraded or failed original cell when the phone no longer holds a usable charge through a normal day. Capacity figure is 12.32Wh at nominal voltage.
- V30 and V30S series compatibility: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.85V charging rail, and BL-T34 connector pinout. The BMS handshake protocol is identical across the H930 and H930G variants, so the fuel gauge IC reads cell state correctly from first boot without any firmware differences.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on an H930 unit. The BMS accepted charging current without tripping, voltage held steady under sustained screen and modem load, and the charge IC reported state-of-charge without fault flags in the battery stats log.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On the first use after installation, disable fast charging and let the phone complete one full discharge-to-charge cycle on standard 5V input. This gives the coulomb counter a clean reference curve for the new cell before high-current fast charging pushes variable current into an uncalibrated state-of-charge model.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BL-T34 replacement cell
The LG V30 fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell in its coulomb counter. When a new cell is installed, the reported percentage does not match the actual cell voltage. At around 3.6V the new cell still has capacity, but the fuel gauge triggers a low-voltage cutoff because it expects a worn cell to be near empty at that point. One full slow-charge cycle forces the IC to relearn the new cell's voltage-to-capacity mapping and eliminates premature shutdowns.
USB-PD fast charge not accepted on the first cycle after replacement
On a freshly installed cell, the BMS may not complete the handshake required for the V30's Qualcomm Quick Charge protocol on the first charge attempt. The charge IC defaults to standard 5V/1A until it confirms cell impedance is within the expected range for high-current delivery. Plug into a standard 5V charger, let the phone reach 100%, then unplug and restart. On the next charge attempt with a Quick Charge adapter, the BMS handshake completes and fast charging activates normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
My LG V30 shuts off at around 25% even though the new battery is fully charged — what's wrong?
The fuel gauge IC on the V30 is still using the discharge curve from the old degraded cell, so it triggers a cutoff before the new cell is actually empty. The percentage reading and the real cell voltage are out of sync. Run one complete cycle on a standard charger — discharge to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging. After that single cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates to the new cell and the shutdowns stop.
The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the BL-T34 dropped below 2.5V the BMS has locked out to prevent cell damage. Plug into a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 30 to 45 minutes without pressing any buttons. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold, usually around 2.8–3.0V, at which point the phone will power on normally.
The V30 feels warm near the battery during the first few charges after replacement — is something wrong with the new cell?
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC works harder to push current through it on the first few cycles. This produces more heat than you'd notice with a well-cycled cell. After three to five full charge cycles the impedance drops to its normal operating range and the warmth disappears. If the phone stays hot beyond the fifth cycle or the back becomes uncomfortable to touch, check that the battery connector is seated flat and not bridging any adjacent contacts.
