Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Nubia V18 / NX612j — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (Li3940T44P6h876442)
This is a 3.85V, 4000mAh lithium-polymer cell that replaces the original battery in the Nubia V18 (NX612, NX612j) smartphone. It matches the OEM part number Li3940T44P6h876442 and fits the same physical bay at 85.85 × 63.00 × 4.30mm. Install it when the original cell no longer holds charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.
- NX612 / NX612j platform fit: Both model variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — one cell covers all three listed model numbers without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the NX612 platform, confirmed the BMS handshake completed without fault codes, and verified the fuel gauge IC registered the full 4000mAh nominal capacity across multiple cycles.
- First-cycle fast-charge protocol: On first use after installation, turn off fast charging in the device settings and run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.
Why the Nubia V18 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The V18's fuel gauge IC builds its percentage readings from a stored discharge curve trained on the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The IC will misread state-of-charge — often showing 100% too quickly or dropping percentage faster than the real capacity warrants. One full slow discharge down to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge to 100%, forces the coulomb counter to rewrite its reference curve against the new cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the modem radio or display draws a current spike that pulls cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. On a new cell that hasn't been calibrated, the IC can't accurately predict where that voltage cliff sits. The fix is the same full discharge-charge recalibration cycle. After one or two full cycles, the fuel gauge learns the cell's actual low-voltage floor and shuts down closer to true 0% rather than cutting at a false 25%.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Nubia V18 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked out due to deep discharge below 2.5V per cell. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell long enough to bring voltage above the BMS re-enable threshold before the phone will boot.
Fast charging stopped working the moment I put the new battery in — the phone just slow charges now.
The USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge handshake the V18 uses can fail to negotiate on the first cycle with a new BMS. This is a known first-cycle behaviour. Reboot the phone with the charger connected, or disconnect and reconnect the charger. If the fast-charge icon still doesn't appear after a reboot, complete one full standard-rate charge cycle — the BMS typically accepts the fast-charge protocol from the second cycle onward.
The battery percentage on my Nubia V18 jumps around erratically — it went from 60% to 34% in two minutes without me doing anything.
The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve and hasn't finished building an accurate model yet. Erratic percentage jumps — especially large, sudden drops — are the coulomb counter losing confidence in its estimate mid-discharge. Run two complete cycles: discharge the phone until it shuts itself off automatically, then charge uninterrupted to 100% both times. After the second full cycle, the gauge IC stabilises and percentage readings become consistent.
