Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

OnePlus 6T / A6010 / A6013 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP685)
This is a 3600mAh Li-Polymer cell at 3.85V, built to the BLP685 specification. It fits the OnePlus 6T across all regional variants — A6010 and A6013. The battery powers every function of the phone: processor, display, modem, and sensors.
- A6010 and A6013 compatibility: Both variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The BLP685 cell addresses all three — same 73.82 × 60.66 × 4.65mm footprint, same flex connector, same thermistor line.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a 6T unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, fast-charge negotiation completed on the second cycle, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state-of-charge without erratic jumps after one full calibration cycle.
- First-cycle fuel gauge reset: After installation, disable Warp Charge and run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% on standard charging. The OnePlus fuel gauge IC recalibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve during that first cycle — skip this and the percentage readout will drift.
Why the 6T reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The OnePlus 6T uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that builds its charge model from the original cell's discharge curve. When a new cell goes in, the IC still references the old curve — so the percentage shown on screen doesn't match the actual charge in the new cell. This mismatch produces readings that appear stuck, jump suddenly, or show 100% with no reserve left. One complete discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full standard charge corrects the model and locks the gauge to the new cell's actual behaviour.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on a fresh BLP685 cell
This happens when the modem or display draws a high current spike and the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. It's a voltage-cliff issue, not a capacity issue: the fuel gauge IC hasn't yet mapped where the new cell's voltage drops steeply under load. Run the first-cycle calibration described above, and verify the shutdown stops occurring below 15%. If shutdown continues after calibration, check that the flex connector is fully seated — a loose contact raises internal resistance and accelerates voltage sag under load.

Frequently Asked Questions
My OnePlus 6T shut down at 25% on the new battery — is the cell faulty?
This is almost always a fuel gauge calibration issue, not a faulty cell. The coulomb counter IC is still using the discharge curve from the old battery, so it doesn't know where the new cell's voltage drops sharply under modem or screen load. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% on standard charging with Warp Charge off. If shutdown still occurs after that cycle, reseat the flex connector — a loose contact raises internal resistance and causes voltage to sag under load even at higher state-of-charge.
Warp Charge isn't working after I replaced the BLP685 — the phone charges slowly on the same cable and adapter.
The Warp Charge protocol requires a successful handshake between the charge IC, the BMS in the new cell, and the adapter. On the first cycle after a cell swap, that handshake sometimes fails because the BMS hasn't completed its initialisation sequence. Plug into a Warp Charge adapter and let the phone charge from below 20% to 100% without interruption. Most units accept the fast-charge protocol on the second or third full cycle once the BMS has registered a complete charge event.
The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few weeks before installation.
If a Li-Polymer cell self-discharges below approximately 2.5V per cell while in storage, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks all charging to prevent thermal runaway. Connect the phone to a Warp Charge adapter and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell at low current to bring voltage above the recovery threshold. Once the OnePlus logo or a charging indicator appears on screen, the BMS has exited lockout and normal charging will resume.
