Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG X Cam / K580 Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-T23)
This 3.85V, 2500mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces part number BL-T23 (also listed as EAC63278801) in the LG X Cam, X Cam 4G, K580, and K580H smartphones. It matches the original cell dimensions at 100.45 × 43.95 × 3.60mm and slots into the same battery bay without modification. Voltage and connector pinout match the OEM specification exactly.
- X Cam and K580 platform fit: The X Cam, X Cam 4G, K580, and K580H share the same battery bay geometry, BMS handshake protocol, and 3.85V nominal voltage rail — which is why BL-T23 covers all of them from a single cell design.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the K580 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and charge termination triggered correctly at 4.35V. Capacity read-back at cycle one came in at 2500mAh within normal tolerance.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle before enabling it again. This gives the phone's fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the X Cam after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. When the X Cam's modem fires or the dual-camera system activates, current draw spikes sharply. If the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, it misjudges the new cell's actual state of charge. The phone reads 25% but the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold under load — and the device shuts off. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard charging speed resets the coulomb counter and eliminates the false cutoff.
X Cam not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage. If the replacement cell dropped below 2.5V per cell before installation, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks charge input to prevent damage to the degraded cell. The phone will show no response on the charger and no boot screen. Connect to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — for at least 30 minutes without interruption. Most BMS units begin trickle-charge recovery above 2.5V and the phone will show a charging indicator before the cell reaches enough voltage to boot.

Frequently Asked Questions
My LG X Cam keeps jumping between different battery percentages right after I put in the new battery — is it broken?
The fuel gauge IC inside the phone is still running calibration data from the old cell. It has no accurate discharge curve for the new BL-T23 cell yet, so the coulomb counter produces erratic percentage readings. Run one full discharge — use the phone until it shuts off automatically — then charge it to 100% in a single uninterrupted session without fast charging enabled. After that cycle, the gauge IC has a real reference curve and the jumping stops.
Fast charging stopped working on my X Cam after I swapped the battery — the phone only charges slowly now.
On the first charge cycle with a new BMS, the phone's charge IC sometimes defaults to standard current until it completes a handshake with the new cell's protection circuit. This is a one-cycle behaviour. Charge the phone fully at the slow rate, let it discharge to around 10%, then charge again — fast charging typically re-engages on the second cycle once the BMS handshake is confirmed. If it doesn't return by cycle three, check that the charge port pins are clean and making full contact.
The back of my LG X Cam feels warm near the battery during the first charge after replacement — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC pushes voltage into slightly more resistance than it expects — and that generates more heat in the first one or two cycles. This is normal and reduces as the cell conditions. If the phone feels hot to the touch rather than warm, or if the heat continues past the third charge cycle, check that the battery connector is fully seated and flat — a partially connected cell forces the charge IC to compensate with higher voltage, which sustains the elevated temperature.
