Fits Gigaset ME Pro and GS57-6 models; replaces OEM part GI02 battery.
3.85V and 4000mAh capacity sustains the ME Pro's modem, touchscreen, and connectivity without voltage sag.
Connector seats flush into the ME Pro battery slot with no locking tab; orientation marked on pack.
We ran discharge cycles on the bench; the BMS accepted standard USB charging on cycle one without lockout faults.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without fast charging to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Gigaset ME Pro / GS57-6 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (GI02)

This 3.85V, 4000mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original GI02 battery in the Gigaset ME Pro and GS57-6 smartphones. It restores full power capacity to the device when the original cell has degraded or stopped holding charge. Voltage and capacity match OEM spec exactly — no modifications needed for installation.

  • ME Pro and GS57-6 fit: Both models use the same battery bay dimensions and the same GI02 connector pinout. The 81.30 × 66.50 × 4.20mm cell profile fits the chassis without pressure on the mid-frame, and the BMS handshake matches the charging IC on both boards.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the GS57-6 board. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, charge current ramped correctly through CC/CV phases, and the protection circuit tripped at the expected low-voltage cutoff.
  • First-cycle calibration on the ME Pro: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell — preventing percentage jumps in the first week.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Gigaset ME Pro after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage cliff under modem and display load, so the phone hits the hardware undervoltage threshold before the OS reads 0%. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge down to automatic power-off, followed by a full charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates to the new cell's actual curve and the shutdowns stop.

Phone warm near the battery during the first two charges after replacement

A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. The charge IC pushes the same current profile it used on the old cell, which generates more heat across the higher resistance of the fresh cell. This is normal for the first two to three cycles and temperature drops as impedance settles. If the phone stays warm beyond the third full charge, check that nothing is blocking the back cover ventilation gap and that ambient temperature is below 35°C during charging.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my Gigaset ME Pro showing the wrong battery percentage after I replaced the battery?

The fuel gauge IC calibrated its discharge curve to the old, degraded cell — it has no data on the new one yet. Run one full discharge down to automatic power-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single cycle gives the coulomb counter enough data to remap the percentage readout to the new cell's actual capacity.

Fast charging stopped working on my ME Pro after fitting the new battery — normal charger still works fine.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes refuses to initiate the fast-charge handshake until it has completed one full standard-rate charge cycle. Plug in with the original charger at standard rate, let it reach 100%, then unplug and attempt fast charging again. If the protocol still doesn't engage after that cycle, check that the USB-C connector pins are clean and seated fully — a partial connection drops the negotiation voltage below the fast-charge threshold.

My Gigaset ME Pro won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before installation.

If the cell discharged below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent charging a critically depleted lithium cell. Connect the phone to a low-current charger — a 5V/0.5A USB port works — and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes without pressing the power button. This trickle current is enough to bring the cell above the BMS recovery threshold, after which the phone will power on and accept a normal charge.
