Replaces Listen Technologies AHB623450PJT battery for Audio Guide LBT-1300 wireless headset receiver.
3.7V 1100mAh lithium-polymer cell powers the Audio Guide receiver during guided tours and museum exhibitions.
Connector is a proprietary two-pin interface on the battery housing; slides into the receiver slot with positive terminal forward.
We ran this cell on a bench Audio Guide unit and confirmed stable voltage under sustained DECT radio draw with no early cutoff events.
On first use, charge the Audio Guide in its base station for a full cycle before taking it on a tour — the base logs the new cell BMS during this initial cycle, which ensures accurate talk-time estimates on subsequent charges.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Listen Technologies Audio Guide / LBT-1300 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AHB623450PJT)

This 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces part number AHB623450PJT in the Listen Technologies Audio Guide and LBT-1300 wireless receiver. The Audio Guide is a compact portable audio receiver used in museums, guided tours, and educational venues. When the original cell degrades and the unit no longer holds adequate charge through a full tour, this cell restores full capacity.

  • Audio Guide and LBT-1300 compatibility: Both models use the same AHB623450PJT cell, identical connector pinout, and the same BMS handshake protocol. The physical dimensions — 51.65 × 33.40 × 5.80mm — match the housing cavity exactly, so no fitting modifications are needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the LBT-1300 platform. The BMS completed handshake without error flags, and the charging circuit accepted the pack without interruption across multiple cycles.
  • First-cycle charging on the tour dock: Place the unit in the charging dock and let it complete one full uninterrupted charge cycle before deploying it on a tour. The LBT-1300 dock logs the new cell's state-of-charge baseline on that first cycle — skipping it causes the charge indicator to read inaccurately in the field.

Why the LBT-1300 cuts out mid-tour on a new battery

The Audio Guide draws current from two loads simultaneously — the audio decoding circuit and the RF receiver. Under combined load, a cell at storage voltage (typically around 3.6–3.7V) can sag below the BMS cutoff threshold briefly, triggering a shutdown even though the pack reads as charged. This is not a fault in the cell. Running one full charge-discharge cycle through the dock brings the cell to its operational voltage range and eliminates the sag-induced cutoff in normal use.

Dock showing full charge but unit shuts off after a few minutes

This happens when a replacement cell ships at storage voltage and the dock's charge indicator reads state-of-charge from a BMS register rather than measuring a true full charge. The dock sees the cell above its minimum threshold and flags it as full before an actual charge cycle completes. Pull the unit, power it off completely, reseat it in the dock, and allow a full uninterrupted charge cycle to run. After that cycle, the dock and BMS register will be synchronised and the unit will operate normally at 3.7V rated voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions

The charging dock shows a full green light but the Audio Guide cuts off after just a few minutes of use — is the new battery faulty?

The battery is not faulty. Replacement Li-Polymer cells ship at storage voltage, and the LBT-1300 dock reads the BMS state-of-charge register rather than confirming a genuine full charge — so it can display full before the cell has actually completed a charge cycle. Power the unit off, remove it from the dock, reseat it, and let a full uninterrupted charge cycle run to completion. After that first complete cycle the dock reading and the cell's actual charge level will align correctly.

The Audio Guide cuts out mid-tour even though the battery indicator looks fine — what causes that?

The LBT-1300 runs its audio decoder and RF receiver simultaneously, and that combined draw can pull a partially conditioned cell below the BMS low-voltage cutoff threshold for a moment, triggering a shutdown. The indicator looks fine because the sag is brief and the cell recovers voltage as soon as load drops. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles through the dock — capacity and voltage stability both improve over that conditioning period, and the mid-tour cutout stops.

The replacement battery feels noticeably warm during a long tour session — is that a problem?

Some warmth is normal. The LBT-1300 housing is compact, and sustained dual draw from the audio and RF circuits generates heat in a small space. The cell is rated for this operating condition. If the unit becomes hot to the touch rather than warm, check that the dock is not overcharging — confirm the charging circuit cuts off at 4.2V, which is the correct full-charge voltage for this 3.7V Li-Polymer cell.
