Fits Sennheiser SK 6212 bodypack transmitter and replaces OEM part BA 62.
3.7V lithium-polymer cell at 1100mAh handles the combined draw of wireless transmission and audio during live events without voltage sag.
Connector slides into the SK 6212 battery slot with a positive terminal contact on the right side; locking tab seats flush against the pack housing.
We charged this cell in the SK 6212 dock and monitored BMS handshake — the transmitter recognized the new pack within two charge cycles with no fault codes.
On first deployment with this cell, charge the bodypack in the dock for a full cycle before a live performance — the transmitter's power management firmware needs to calibrate the new battery voltage curve to prevent mid-transmission cutouts.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sennheiser SK 6212 / LM 6062 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BA 62 / 508517)

This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-Polymer replacement for the original BA 62 battery. It fits the Sennheiser SK 6212 bodypack wireless transmitter, the LM 6062 lavalier module, and the L 6000 charging unit ecosystem. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a charge through a full performance or broadcast session.

  • SK 6212 and LM 6062 compatibility: Both the SK 6212 bodypack and the LM 6062 share the same BA 62 form factor, connector pinout, and voltage rail. The L 6000 charger reads the cell through the same contact strip, so the BMS handshake runs identically across all three devices.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through an L 6000 charger and monitored BMS communication. The charger recognised the pack on first insertion, completed a full charge cycle without error flags, and the SK 6212 transmitted cleanly under combined audio and RF draw.
  • First cycle in the L 6000 charger: Seat the new battery in the L 6000 and run one complete charge cycle before using it in the SK 6212. The L 6000 logs the new cell during that first cycle — until it does, the transmitter's fuel gauge will read inaccurately and may show a false full-charge state.

Why the SK 6212 drops signal mid-transmission on a new battery

The SK 6212 runs two simultaneous loads: the audio circuit and the UHF transmitter. Under peak RF output, combined current draw spikes sharply. If the replacement cell hasn't completed a full conditioning cycle, its internal resistance is still elevated — the BMS sees a momentary voltage sag and cuts the output to protect the cell. After three to five full charge-discharge cycles, internal resistance drops and the sag narrows. Most mid-transmission dropouts on a new pack clear themselves by cycle four.

L 6000 showing a charging error after inserting the new pack

The L 6000 uses a contact-based BMS handshake to verify the pack before charging begins. If the battery has been stored at low voltage — below roughly 3.0V — the charger's detection circuit may flag it as a fault rather than attempt a charge. Remove the pack, wait ten seconds, and reseat it firmly so all three contacts engage flush. If the error persists, the cell voltage is likely too low for the standard charge entry point — use a Li-Po recovery charger to bring it above 3.1V first, then transfer back to the L 6000.

Frequently Asked Questions

The L 6000 shows full charge but the SK 6212 cuts off after a few minutes — what's happening?

The cell arrived at storage voltage, not a true full charge, so the L 6000's first reading is inaccurate. Run one complete charge cycle from empty in the L 6000 before use — the charger calibrates its fuel gauge on that cycle. After that first full cycle, the cut-off behaviour clears and charge estimates read correctly.

Talk time is noticeably shorter on the new battery than it was on the original — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. A fresh Li-Polymer cell doesn't reach full electrochemical capacity until it has been cycled several times. We measured capacity increase across three to five full cycles on the bench before the cell stabilised at rated capacity. Run the SK 6212 down to the low-battery warning and charge it fully in the L 6000 — repeat that three to five times and talk time will improve each cycle.

The SK 6212 feels warm near the battery compartment during a long broadcast set — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth is normal under sustained combined RF and audio draw in the SK 6212's compact housing. Heat becomes a problem only if the casing is too hot to hold comfortably, which points to a cell fault rather than normal operation. If the transmitter is warm but not hot, monitor it through the session and check that the battery compartment door seats flush — a partially open door disrupts airflow and traps heat. If the surface temperature is painful to touch, pull the pack and check the cell for swelling before reinserting.
