Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Logicom CT800 / Galeo — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery
This is a 3.6V 700mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Logicom CT800 and Galeo cordless DECT handsets. It slots directly into the handset battery compartment and restores power to the handset when the original cell can no longer hold a charge. Voltage and physical dimensions match the original pack: 45.90 × 31.20 × 10.70mm.
- CT800 and Galeo compatibility: Both handsets share the same battery bay dimensions, voltage rail, and connector orientation. A single cell pack at 3.6V is all the handset expects — no BMS handshake is required, so the swap is straightforward.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a DECT handset platform at 3.6V. The cell accepted a full charge without thermal event and held voltage within spec across standby and active transmit loads.
- First charge after installation: Place the handset in the base station immediately after fitting this battery and leave it there for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cells shipped in storage state need a slow initial charge to reach rated 700mAh capacity — a quick top-up will leave you short of full talk time for the first several cycles.
Talk time shorter than expected after fitting this battery
Ni-MH cells store poorly and arrive partially discharged. The first three to five full charge-discharge cycles are conditioning cycles — capacity builds incrementally each time. If talk time feels short after the first charge, that is expected behaviour, not a faulty cell. Run the handset until the low-battery tone sounds, return it to the base for a full 16-hour charge, and repeat for at least three cycles. By cycle four or five, the cell should be delivering close to its rated 700mAh.
Base station charge light not coming on after new battery fitted
A Ni-MH cell that has sat in storage can drop below the voltage threshold the base station uses to detect a valid battery. If the charge indicator stays off when you dock the handset, the base is not seeing sufficient voltage to begin charging. Remove the handset, hold the battery contacts briefly across a 3.6V source for a few seconds to raise resting voltage, then re-dock. Alternatively, leave the handset seated in the base undisturbed for 30 minutes — most Logicom bases will eventually begin a trickle charge once contact is confirmed and will trigger the charge light once the cell clears the acceptance threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Logicom CT800 handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I get it back?
Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, and some DECT phones clear their pairing data when power drops completely. The fix is to re-register the handset manually. On most Logicom bases, press and hold the paging or registration button on the base until the LED flashes, then navigate to the handset menu under Settings → Register Handset and follow the on-screen prompt. The handset and base exchange a new DECT pairing key and the line comes back.
The CT800 handset is fully draining overnight even when it's sitting in the base — is the new battery faulty?
This is almost always a seating issue, not a faulty cell. If the handset is not fully clicked down into the base cradle, the charge contacts do not make a clean connection and the handset runs on battery in standby all night. Remove the handset, check the gold charge contacts on both the handset base and the cradle for dust or oxidation, wipe them with a dry cloth, and re-seat the handset until you feel it click into position. After one full overnight charge the drain-overnight behaviour should stop.
The CT800 range feels noticeably shorter after fitting this battery — what causes that?
DECT transmit power sags when the battery voltage drops under RF load, and a freshly fitted Ni-MH cell that has not completed its conditioning cycles will show a steeper voltage sag than a fully conditioned pack. The result is reduced effective range, particularly at the edge of the base station's coverage area. Complete four to five full charge-discharge cycles to bring the cell to rated capacity. If range is still reduced after conditioning, check that the resting voltage on the cell reads at or above 3.6V with a multimeter before docking.
