Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mегафон CP10 / TDM15 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 3.7V 1200mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Mегафон CP10 and TDM15 smartphones. It measures 53.00 × 34.00 × 5.70mm and matches the original connector orientation and BMS pinout. Capacity figure is taken directly from the product specification — 4.44Wh total energy.
- CP10 and TDM15 shared platform: Both models run the same 3.7V nominal voltage rail and use an identical physical footprint, which is why they share this cell. The connector tab spacing and BMS communication lines carry over between units without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge-discharge cycle on the CP10 platform. The BMS accepted the charge handshake cleanly, current draw at the charge IC peaked at the expected rate, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after fitting this cell, disable any fast-charge option and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated counter.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the CP10 after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. Under peak load — modem transmit bursts, screen at full brightness — the new cell's internal resistance briefly drops terminal voltage below the protection threshold. The phone reads 25% state of charge but the cell cannot sustain the voltage under that instantaneous current draw. One full slow discharge-charge cycle tightens the fuel gauge IC calibration and reduces premature cutoff events. If shutdowns persist past three full cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated — partial contact raises effective resistance at the tab.
OS showing wrong battery percentage after fitting the new cell
The CP10's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the previous cell. After a cell swap, that stored curve no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity relationship, so percentage readings drift or jump erratically. The fix is one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100%. That single cycle forces the coulomb counter to reset its reference points against the new cell. Do not interrupt the charge during this first cycle — a partial cycle leaves the curve partially corrected and the gauge stays inaccurate.

Frequently Asked Questions
The CP10 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
It is likely in BMS lockout, not dead. When cell voltage drops below roughly 2.5V from prolonged storage, the battery management circuit cuts all output to prevent cell damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on. Most BMS circuits begin a trickle pre-charge at around 50mA to bring the cell back above the lockout threshold; once voltage climbs above 3.0V the BMS releases and the phone will boot normally.
Fast charging stopped working on the CP10 after I fitted this battery — the phone only charges slowly now.
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the CP10 sometimes falls back to standard current because it cannot yet verify the BMS parameters on the new cell. This is normal and resolves after one complete standard-rate charge to 100%. Once that cycle completes, re-enable fast charging in the phone settings and plug in again — the charge IC renegotiates at higher current now that it has a confirmed BMS handshake from the new cell.
The battery percentage on the CP10 jumps — for example from 40% straight to 15% with no warning.
Erratic percentage jumps after a cell swap mean the fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it learned from the old cell. The new cell has a different internal resistance profile, so voltage readings at mid-charge states don't map to the stored capacity model. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate — no fast charge, no unplugging mid-cycle. After that single calibration cycle, percentage reporting stabilises to within a few percent of actual state of charge.
