Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mamibot ProVac Plus 2 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (190612)
This 7.4V 2600mAh Li-ion battery replaces OEM part 190612 in the Mamibot ProVac Plus 2 robotic vacuum cleaner. It fits the main battery bay directly and supplies the voltage rail the drive motors and suction unit require. Capacity is 19.24Wh — identical to the original cell specification.
- ProVac Plus 2 fitment: The ProVac Plus 2 uses a single-cell 7.4V pack with a specific connector and BMS handshake that controls charge acceptance and low-voltage cutoff. This replacement matches that configuration — voltage, connector orientation, and BMS communication all align with the original unit.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a ProVac Plus 2 chassis. The BMS accepted charge from the OEM dock without fault codes and held cutoff voltage within spec under sustained motor load.
- Dock charging protocol for the ProVac Plus 2: Do not leave the ProVac Plus 2 sitting on the dock permanently. Continuous trickle charging compresses cell capacity significantly faster than charge-when-depleted use. Charge to full, then lift the unit off the dock until the next clean cycle.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the ProVac Plus 2
The ProVac Plus 2 motor draws more current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter forces the suction unit to work harder than its rated draw. This pushes the battery into voltage sag territory before the indicator registers low. The BMS reads this as normal discharge and does not flag it. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery was not the fault. If suction remains weak with a clean filter on a new cell, check the impeller housing for debris.
ProVac Plus 2 motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the suction path is blocked — filter clogged, brush roll jammed, or intake obstructed — motor current spikes above the BMS protection threshold and the pack shuts down briefly. Clearing the blockage and pressing the power button restarts the unit. If the cutout recurs on a clean filter with a fully charged pack sitting at 8.2–8.4V off the charger, the original BMS has degraded and the replacement cell will resolve it.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Mamibot ProVac Plus 2 runs for a noticeably shorter time than it used to — could a blocked filter be causing this rather than the battery?
Yes, a restricted filter is a common driver of shortened run cycles. The suction motor pulls harder against restricted airflow, increasing current draw well above its normal operating load and draining the 2600mAh cell faster than rated. Clean the filter thoroughly and run a full charge-discharge cycle. If runtime improves, the filter was the cause — if it stays short on a clean filter, the original battery cell has lost capacity and needs replacing.
My ProVac Plus 2 battery faded quickly after I got it — I leave it on the dock between every clean. Is the dock charging damaging it?
Continuous dock charging is one of the fastest ways to degrade a Li-ion cell. The charger delivers a sustained trickle to maintain full charge, and Li-ion cells held at 100% under constant current age at an accelerated rate. Remove the ProVac Plus 2 from the dock once the charge indicator shows full. Only return it to the dock when the battery needs charging again.
The ProVac Plus 2 won't charge on the dock after I fitted the replacement battery — the charging indicator never comes on.
The ProVac Plus 2 dock communicates with the battery BMS before it begins charging. If the BMS does not respond within the expected window, the dock will not initiate a charge cycle. First, seat the battery firmly and check the dock contacts are clean and making full contact. Place the unit on the dock and wait 60 seconds — some BMS circuits need a brief initialisation period before the handshake completes. If the indicator still does not come on, measure the dock output with a multimeter — it should read 8.4V DC at the contacts when no load is present.
