Fits MetroPCS MS910 and LG Versa flip phones; replaces OEM battery CS-LVS910SL.
3.7V, 1500mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 5.55Wh to sustain talk and standby on this compact flip phone.
Connector seats vertically into the battery slot behind the flip cover with standard contact alignment.
Bench test showed clean BMS handshake on first insertion; fuel gauge IC required one full discharge-charge cycle to recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve.
On first use, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without interruption — this allows the phone's coulomb counter to map the new cell's voltage profile before the modem draws peak current during calls.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

MetroPCS MS910 Esteem — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V, 1500mAh lithium-ion cell replaces the original battery in the MetroPCS MS910 and LG Esteem smartphones. Both devices share the same battery bay dimensions (65.96 × 44.05 × 5.10mm) and voltage rail, so one cell covers both. Capacity is rated at 5.55Wh.

  • MS910 and Esteem compatibility: Both phones run the same 3.7V supply rail and use an identical physical connector and bay. The BMS handshake requirements match, so the same replacement cell works across both without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the MS910 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the charge IC completed a full cycle without tripping overcurrent protection.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: On first use, disable any fast-charge adapter and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes load into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the MS910 after a cell swap

The MS910's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When a fresh cell is installed, the IC's stored curve no longer matches actual cell voltage under load. The modem radio draws a short current spike during transmission, and if the IC thinks the cell is near empty, it triggers a protective shutdown before the cell is actually depleted. One full discharge-to-charge cycle forces the IC to relearn the new curve and eliminates the false cutoff. After calibration, shutdowns should not occur above 3.5V at the cell terminals.

Phone warm near the battery during the first charge cycle

A new cell arrives with higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. On the first charge, the charge IC pushes current into that elevated impedance, which generates more heat than normal. This is not a fault — it resolves after the first full cycle as the cell's impedance drops. If the phone stays warm beyond the second charge cycle, check that the charge adapter output does not exceed 5V/1A for this device.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my MS910 shut off at 25% battery after I put in the new cell?

The fuel gauge IC on the MS910 is still reading from the old cell's discharge curve stored in memory. When modem load pulls a brief current spike, the IC sees a voltage dip it interprets as near-empty and cuts power early. Run one full discharge down to auto-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard current — that single cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual curve.

My MS910 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in the phone for a few weeks unused — what happened?

If the cell voltage dropped below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS has entered lockout mode to prevent damage to the cell. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a computer USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. Most BMS circuits on this platform will accept a trickle charge at that voltage and exit lockout once the cell climbs back above 3.0V, at which point the phone will boot normally.

The battery percentage on my MS910 jumps around erratically — is the new cell faulty?

The percentage jumping is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating, not a defective cell. The IC was tuned to the old cell's internal resistance and capacity, and the new cell has different characteristics. Complete two full discharge-to-charge cycles at standard current with no fast-charge adapter connected. After the second cycle, the coulomb counter will have enough data points to track the new cell accurately and the percentage display will stabilise.
