Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Verizon VS910 Revolution 4G — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in the Verizon VS910, sold as the Revolution and Revolution 4G. It fits the same battery bay and uses the same three-contact connector as the factory unit. If your Revolution shuts down unexpectedly or no longer holds a charge through a full day, this cell directly addresses the degraded original.
- VS910 / Revolution / Revolution 4G fit: All three names refer to the same LG-built handset sold on Verizon's network. The battery bay dimensions, contact pitch, and BMS handshake protocol are identical across the VS910, Revolution, and Revolution 4G variants — one cell fits all three.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the VS910 platform. The BMS accepted the charge handshake without fault flags, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold during deep discharge testing.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before any high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the VS910 after a cell swap
The VS910's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The phone's modem and display draw current spikes that drop the new cell's voltage below the shutdown threshold even when the gauge still shows charge remaining. Running one full discharge to auto-off and then a full charge to 100% at standard rate forces the coulomb counter to resync. After that cycle, the reported percentage tracks accurately under load.
VS910 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the replacement cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell during shipping or warehousing, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent damage and the phone will not power on. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, at which point the protection circuit releases and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
My VS910 Revolution shows 25% battery and then just dies — why does this keep happening with the new cell?
The fuel gauge IC on the VS910 calibrated itself to your original cell's voltage curve over months of use. The replacement cell has a slightly different discharge curve, so the gauge reports incorrect percentages until it relearns. Run one full discharge — let the phone shut itself off — then charge to 100% at standard rate without interruption. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter resets and the shutdown-at-25% behaviour stops.
The VS910 feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is the charge IC running too hot?
A new Li-ion cell typically has higher internal impedance than a well-cycled cell. The charge IC on the VS910 compensates by applying slightly more voltage to overcome that impedance, which generates more heat at the contact points during the first several charge cycles. The warmth decreases noticeably after three to five full cycles as impedance drops toward normal operating range. If the phone becomes hot to the touch rather than warm, remove it from the charger and let it cool before continuing.
The VS910 won't accept a charge at all after I installed the replacement — the charging indicator never appears.
If the replacement cell voltage dropped below the BMS lockout threshold during storage — roughly 2.5V — the protection circuit blocks all current flow and the phone shows no charging indicator. Plug into a wall adapter rather than a computer USB port, which delivers consistent 5V, and leave it undisturbed for 15 to 20 minutes. The charge IC runs a trickle pre-charge sequence that brings the cell back above the recovery threshold, after which the BMS releases and the charging indicator appears.
