This is a 3.8V 2000mAh Li-Polymer cell replacing the OEM BV-4NW battery in the Microsoft Lumia 928 (RM-860, RM-5250). It fits the internal slot without modification and connects to the existing charge IC and fuel gauge circuit. Capacity matches the factory specification at 7.6Wh.

When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage profile, so the reported percentage drifts and jumps. Run one complete cycle — discharge until the phone shuts itself off, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates against the new cell and the percentage readings stabilise.
The Lumia 928 feels warm near the battery compartment for the first hour of charging the new cell — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in one. During the first few charge cycles, the charge IC pushes current into a cell with more resistance, which generates a small amount of extra heat. This is normal and reduces after two or three full cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the back flexes, stop charging and check that the cell is seated flat with no pressure on the pouch — a pinched BV-4NW cell can swell under even normal charge current.
