Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Midea G9 / G9 Plus / G9 Pro — 22.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (G9BP-01)
This is a 22.2V 2500mAh (55.5Wh) lithium-ion replacement battery for the Midea G9, G9 Plus, and G9 Pro cordless stick vacuums. It replaces OEM part number G9BP-01 when the original cell loses charging capacity or stops holding charge. Fits the same connector and slot as the factory battery.
- G9, G9 Plus, and G9 Pro compatibility: All three models share the same 22.2V power rail, connector configuration, and BMS handshake protocol — that is why one battery covers the entire G9 range. Swapping between G9 variants does not require any firmware change or charger swap.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a G9 chassis. The BMS held steady voltage through both hard floor and carpet motor loads, with overcurrent protection tripping correctly when suction was deliberately blocked at the nozzle.
- Dock charging discipline: Do not leave the G9 sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous dock contact keeps the cell in a trickle charge state that accelerates capacity fade. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next use.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
On the G9, suction loss is often misread as a dying battery when the real cause is voltage sag under load. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which causes the cell voltage to dip and the motor to slow — even when the indicator still shows charge remaining. Pull and clean the filter first before concluding the battery is the problem. If suction recovers after a filter clean, the cell is not at fault.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then comes back after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failed battery. When sustained suction restriction — a blocked nozzle, full dust cup, or clogged filter — pushes motor current above the BMS threshold, the protection circuit cuts power to prevent cell damage. After a brief pause the BMS resets and the motor restarts. Clear the blockage and check the dust cup fill level. If trips continue with a clean filter and empty cup, measure resting cell voltage — it should read above 22V before placing a charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Midea G9 vacuum loses suction well before the battery light turns red — is the battery dying or is something else wrong?
Suction loss ahead of a low-battery warning is almost always a filter or blockage issue, not a failing cell. A restricted filter forces the motor to pull more current than rated, which drags cell voltage down and slows the motor even when charge is still present. Remove and clean the foam and mesh filters, then empty the dust cup fully. If suction returns to normal after that, the battery is fine.
The G9 motor cuts out for a few seconds during cleaning, then restarts on its own — what is causing that?
That self-resetting cutout is the BMS overcurrent trip doing its job. When a blocked nozzle or full dust cup restricts airflow, the motor compensates by drawing more current, pushing past the BMS protection threshold and cutting the circuit briefly. It resets automatically once current drops back to safe levels. Check the nozzle inlet, empty the dust cup, and clean the filter — if trips stop after that, the cell itself is not the problem.
My replacement G9BP-01 battery seems to drain much faster than the original did when it was new — what shortens capacity on these cells?
The most common cause on cordless vacuums is leaving the unit on the charging dock continuously between uses. Permanent dock contact keeps the cell in a low-level trickle charge state, and Li-ion cells cycled this way lose usable capacity faster than those charged only when depleted. A partially clogged filter also forces the motor to draw above rated current on every run, which stresses the cell beyond its design load. Charge the replacement fully, remove it from the dock, and clean the filter regularly to protect capacity.
