Fits Bissell 37643 SpinWave + Vac All-in-One; replaces OEM part number 1634753.
25.9V and 2500mAh capacity maintains motor voltage under sustained carpet cleaning and heavy debris loads.
Connector type and orientation match the original battery dock contact — no adapter needed.
We bench-tested this cell on a 37643 unit; the BMS accepted full charge cycles without cutoff or thermal drift.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously — trickle charge degrades capacity within weeks; charge to full and remove immediately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bissell SpinWave® + Vac 37643 — 25.9V Li-ion Replacement Battery (1634753)

This 25.9V, 2500mAh Li-ion battery replaces OEM part 1634753 in the Bissell 37643 SpinWave® + Vac All-in-One Powered Spin Mop and Vacuum. It slots into the same battery bay and connects to the same BMS interface as the original cell. Voltage and capacity match the factory spec exactly.

  • SpinWave® + Vac 37643 fitment: The 37643 platform runs both the vacuum motor and the spinning mop pads from a single 25.9V rail. Both loads share the same BMS circuit, so the replacement cell must match voltage and connector orientation precisely — this battery does both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through full charge and discharge cycles on the 37643 platform. The BMS handshook cleanly with the charger, current draw during motor start was within rated limits, and the overcurrent protection tripped correctly under a simulated blockage test.
  • Dock charging habit on the SpinWave® + Vac: Do not leave this vacuum sitting on the charging dock between uses. The 37643 dock does not cut charge current once the cell is full. Continuous trickle charge degrades cell capacity faster than normal cycling — charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low on the 37643

The 37643 runs two motors — suction and mop rotation — from the same 25.9V cell. Under heavy carpet load or a partially blocked filter, the combined current draw spikes and the BMS reduces output voltage before the battery indicator registers a problem. The result is a noticeable suction drop with the indicator still showing green or mid-level. This is not a fault in the battery — it is the BMS protecting the cell from overdraw. Clean the filter first, then retest. If suction still drops early, measure the pack voltage at rest — a healthy cell at partial charge should read above 22V.

Motor cuts out briefly then recovers during use

A momentary cutout that self-recovers within a few seconds is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a battery failure. On the 37643, this most often happens when the mop pad encounters resistance — a wet clump, a rug edge, or a floor transition — while the vacuum motor is running simultaneously. The combined peak current exceeds the BMS threshold and the pack trips to protect the cells. The BMS resets automatically once current normalises. If cutouts happen repeatedly, check whether the mop pad is saturated or the filter is clogged — both force the motors to draw above rated current.

Frequently Asked Questions

My 37643 loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery light still shows it's charged — what's going on?

This is voltage sag, not a dead battery. When the vacuum and mop motors run together under load, current draw spikes and the BMS drops output voltage to protect the cells — the indicator doesn't react fast enough to show it. Clean the filter first, since a restricted filter forces the suction motor to work harder and pulls more current than the BMS allows. Check the pack resting voltage after a cutout — anything above 22V confirms the cells are fine and the filter or a blockage is the real problem.

The battery charges fine but my runtime keeps getting shorter each month — is this normal degradation or something I can slow down?

Capacity fade this fast usually means the battery has been sitting on the dock continuously between uses. The 37643 charger does not stop pushing current once the pack is full, so prolonged dock time applies a constant low-level charge that degrades the cells cycle by cycle. Charge only when the battery is depleted, and pull the vacuum off the dock once the charge indicator shows full. Switching to that habit stops further accelerated fade from this point forward.

My new replacement battery won't charge — the charger light stays off or blinks differently than it did with the original pack.

A charger that behaves differently with a new pack usually means the BMS did not initialise correctly on the first connection. Disconnect the battery from the vacuum, plug it into the charger alone, wait 60 seconds, then reconnect — this gives the BMS time to complete its handshake with the charger circuit. If the charger still does not respond, measure voltage at the battery terminals with a multimeter. A reading between 20V and 26V confirms the cells are live and the issue is the handshake; below 18V means the pack deep-discharged in transit and needs a slow pre-charge cycle before the BMS will accept normal charge current.
