Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Midea M4 Cordless Vacuum — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 14.4V, 3400mAh (48.96Wh) lithium-ion replacement battery for the Midea M4 cordless stick vacuum. It replaces the original cell pack when the factory battery no longer holds a full charge. The battery fits directly into the M4 battery compartment and communicates with the vacuum's onboard BMS.
- Midea M4 fitment: The M4 runs a 14.4V nominal rail across its motor and suction control board. This replacement matches that voltage requirement and uses the same connector orientation and BMS communication protocol as the factory pack — the vacuum powers on and reads charge state without reconfiguration.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge on the M4 platform. The BMS handled motor-start inrush current without tripping, and charge state reporting to the indicator LEDs tracked accurately across the full discharge curve.
- Dock charging habit for the M4: Do not leave the M4 on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charge compresses the cells' usable range faster than normal cycling. Charge the battery to full, then remove it from the dock until the next use.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor draws above its rated current — usually from a partially blocked filter or a full dustbin — and the BMS reduces output voltage to protect the cells before the indicator registers a low charge state. The vacuum still appears to have battery remaining, but motor speed has already dropped. Clear the filter and empty the bin first, then retest. If suction recovers immediately, the battery is not the cause — restricted airflow was forcing higher current draw.
Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When the M4 motor sustains restricted suction — blocked filter, dense carpet, or hair wrap on the brush roll — current draw spikes above the BMS threshold and the pack shuts output off momentarily. The BMS resets after a few seconds, which is why the vacuum restarts on its own. Clean the filter and remove any obstruction from the brush roll. If the cutout stops after clearing those, the battery is functioning correctly — check that the filter is fully dry before reinserting if it was washed.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Midea M4 suction feels weak even though the battery shows a full charge — what's happening?
A fully charged battery can still show reduced suction if the filter is partially blocked — restricted airflow forces the motor to work harder, and the BMS throttles output voltage to stay within safe current limits before the indicator drops. Remove and inspect the filter; if it's clogged or damp from a recent wash, that's the cause. Reinstall a clean, fully dry filter and retest suction on a hard floor first. If suction returns to normal, the battery is fine.
My Midea M4 has been on the dock for weeks — could that have damaged the original battery?
Yes. Leaving the M4 on the charging dock continuously keeps the cells at or near 100% with a trickle charge running through them, which accelerates capacity fade over time. This is one of the most common reasons the original battery stops lasting as long as it used to. With a replacement battery, charge to full and then unplug the dock — only return the vacuum to charge when the battery is noticeably depleted. That single habit significantly slows capacity loss.
The Midea M4 won't turn on at all after I installed the replacement battery — what should I check first?
If the battery has been stored before use, the cells may have self-discharged below the BMS re-initialisation threshold, and the vacuum will show no response. Place the battery on charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power the vacuum on. If the indicator light on the charger does not activate, check that the battery is seated fully — the connector needs firm pressure until it clicks. If the charger light activates and the battery reaches a charge state above 3.0V per cell, the vacuum should power on normally.
