Fits Mindray Duo Monitor, OEM part number 0146-00-0079 replacement battery.
7.4V 7800mAh lithium-ion cell powers the monitor through patient examinations and transport.
Connector seats into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the right side.
We bench tested the pack on a Duo Monitor charger — BMS accepted input immediately and completed charge without fault codes.
Let the device complete its full power-on self-test cycle without interruption after installation; medical monitors run BMS verification at startup and interrupting this sequence triggers a false battery fault that persists until next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mindray Duo Monitor — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (0146-00-0079)

This 7.4V 7800mAh (57.72Wh) lithium-ion battery replaces the original power cell in the Mindray Duo Monitor and Datascope Duo patient monitor. It fits all Duo Monitor variants using OEM part number 0146-00-0079. This battery keeps the monitor running during patient transport and bedside examinations when the installed cell no longer holds charge.

  • Duo Monitor and Datascope Duo compatibility: Both the Mindray-branded and Datascope-branded Duo monitors share the same battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits all variants in this line.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through the Duo Monitor's startup self-test and load profile. The BMS passed the OEM voltage verification sequence and held within tolerance across the charge-discharge curve.
  • Post-swap self-test cycle: After installing this battery, let the monitor complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. Medical-grade BMS verification runs at boot — cutting power mid-sequence triggers a persistent false battery fault that won't clear until the next complete reboot.

Self-test failure after battery swap on the Duo Monitor

The Duo Monitor's BMS runs a chemistry verification check at every startup. A new cell that hasn't completed one full charge-discharge cycle may sit just below the BMS recognition threshold, causing the self-test to flag a fault even on a full charge. This isn't a defective battery — it's the charge IC applying a conservative initial limit on an unconditioned cell. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle before placing the unit back in clinical rotation.

Low battery alarm triggering on a freshly charged replacement cell

When the Duo Monitor flags a low battery alarm immediately after a confirmed full charge, the cause is typically the BMS comparing the new cell's voltage curve against the stored profile of the degraded original. The alarm threshold was calibrated to the old cell's internal resistance — the new cell's higher resting voltage can read as out-of-range on the first cycle. Charge the battery to 100% via the monitor, allow it to discharge naturally through normal use, then recharge fully. After one complete cycle the BMS recalibrates and the alarm clears.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Duo Monitor won't power on after the replacement battery sat in the packaging for a few weeks — is the cell dead?

It's not dead, but it may have self-discharged below the BMS recovery threshold during storage. Li-ion cells in standby lose charge over time, and the Duo Monitor's BMS won't initiate a boot sequence if the cell voltage has dropped below roughly 6.0V. Connect the monitor to mains power and leave it on charge for at least two hours before attempting to power on — this allows the charge IC to trickle the cell back above the recovery threshold before the BMS will engage.

The charge indicator on the Duo Monitor won't reach 100% on the first charge after swapping this battery — is the charge circuit faulty?

The charge circuit is fine. The monitor's charge IC applies a conservative upper current limit on the first charge of an unrecognised cell, which extends the final absorption phase and can make the indicator appear to stall below 100%. Let the charge cycle complete without unplugging — it will reach full capacity, it just takes longer on the first pass. From the second charge onward, charge times and the indicator behaviour return to normal.

The Duo Monitor shuts off without warning during use even though the battery showed more than 50% charge — what's causing it?

This happens most often in the first ten cycles on a new cell. The Duo Monitor's load profile — backlight, sensor polling, and alarm circuitry running simultaneously — draws harder than the BMS expects from a cell it hasn't profiled yet, causing a brief voltage sag that trips the low-voltage cutoff prematurely. It's not a faulty battery. Complete five to ten full charge-discharge cycles through normal clinical use and the BMS will build an accurate load profile for the new cell, after which the shutdowns stop.
