Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mindray Benevision N19 / SV650 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (022-000248-00)
This 11.1V 5600mAh lithium-ion battery fits the Mindray Benevision N19, Benevision N22, SV600, and SV650 patient monitors. It replaces OEM part numbers 022-000248-00, 022-000348-00, 115-034132-00, and LI23I003A. The battery slots into the monitor's rear battery bay and interfaces directly with the onboard BMS to power continuous vital signs monitoring.
- Benevision and SV-series compatibility: The N19, N22, SV600, and SV650 share the same 11.1V three-cell Li-ion architecture, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — which is why a single cell pack covers the full range. The battery reports state-of-charge data over the SMBus interface to the monitor's power management controller.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on an SV650 test unit and confirmed the BMS handshake completed on first connection, the charge IC accepted the pack without fault codes, and the monitor's battery status screen reported accurate state-of-charge after one full charge-discharge cycle.
- Post-swap self-test protocol: After fitting this battery, let the monitor complete its full power-on self-test without interrupting the boot sequence. The Benevision platform runs a BMS verification pass at startup — cutting power mid-sequence registers a spurious battery fault that persists until a clean reboot is completed.
Low battery alarm triggering on a freshly charged replacement pack
The Benevision N-series sets its low-battery alarm threshold against a calibrated state-of-charge profile stored in the BMS. A new cell's internal resistance and open-circuit voltage differ slightly from the OEM profile until one full charge-discharge cycle has been logged. During that first cycle the monitor may read the pack as lower than it actually is and trigger the alarm prematurely. Run one complete charge-to-discharge cycle before using the monitor clinically — after that cycle the BMS recalibrates and the alarm threshold tracks correctly.
Monitor will not power on after battery has been sitting uninstalled
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and the Benevision BMS enforces a hard undervoltage lockout below approximately 9V (3V per cell) to protect the cells from damage. If the pack sat uninstalled long enough to drop below that threshold, the monitor will not boot — it won't even attempt the self-test. Connect the monitor to mains power first, leave it connected for at least 15 minutes to allow the charge IC to raise the pack voltage above the lockout threshold, then power on normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Benevision N19 is alarming low battery straight after a full charge on the new pack — is the battery faulty?
Almost certainly not faulty. The N19's BMS compares the new cell's voltage curve against a stored OEM profile, and on the first cycle the internal resistance of a fresh cell reads slightly off — enough to trigger a premature low-battery alarm. Run one full charge-to-discharge cycle with the monitor on mains backup, then let the pack fully recharge. The BMS recalibrates after that cycle and the alarm clears.
The monitor shuts off unexpectedly during patient monitoring, but the battery shows a healthy charge level beforehand — what's causing this?
New Li-ion cells deliver higher internal resistance under load for the first several cycles, which causes a sharper voltage sag when the monitor draws peak current — typically during alarm events or display backlight surges. The BMS interprets that sag as a critically low cell voltage and cuts output to protect the pack. This settles after approximately 8–10 full cycles as the cells condition. Until then, keep the monitor on mains power in high-acuity situations.
The charge indicator on the Benevision N22 has been stuck below 100% for hours — is the new battery not charging fully?
The N22 charge IC applies a conservative constant-voltage taper limit on an unrecognised new cell, which slows the final absorption phase significantly compared to a conditioned pack. This is normal behaviour on the first charge. Leave the monitor connected to mains with the unit either off or in standby — do not disconnect when the indicator stalls. The charge IC completes the full 62.16Wh fill when the cell's acceptance current drops to its termination threshold, typically during the extended taper phase.
