Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mitsubishi MICROELITE 3300 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BP-1100)

This 3.7V, 1400mAh Li-ion cell replaces the BP-1100 battery in the Mitsubishi MICROELITE 3300 compact digital camera. It delivers 5.18Wh of capacity through the same form factor and connector as the original. At 55.50 x 20.00 x 20.30mm, it seats directly into the MICROELITE 3300 battery compartment.

  • MICROELITE 3300 fit: The BP-1100 form factor is specific to this camera body. The connector orientation and cell dimensions match the original bay geometry, so no force is needed to seat the battery correctly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the MICROELITE 3300 body and a standard Li-ion charger. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff.
  • First-charge protocol for the MICROELITE 3300: Run one complete charge cycle through the camera body or OEM charger before shooting. Some compact camera BMS systems only begin accurate battery-remaining calibration after the first full charge cycle is completed inside the device.

Battery percentage jumping on the MICROELITE 3300 display after fitting a new cell

The MICROELITE 3300 maps battery percentage to a fixed voltage-threshold table calibrated against the original BP-1100 discharge curve. A fresh replacement cell has a slightly different resting voltage profile at mid-charge states, so the camera's indicator may read 80% one moment and drop to 60% the next without heavy use. This is a mapping mismatch, not a fault with the cell. Run two full charge-to-discharge cycles through the camera body to allow the BMS to re-anchor its readings against the new cell's actual discharge curve.

MICROELITE 3300 showing dead battery indicator on a cell that was just charged

This usually occurs when the replacement cell has sat unused long enough for its resting voltage to drop below the camera's startup acceptance threshold, typically around 3.0V. The MICROELITE 3300 body may refuse to power on and display a depleted battery icon even if the cell technically holds charge. Place the cell in an external Li-ion charger rather than the camera body, charge until the charger shows full, then reinsert. If the camera accepts it at that point, one full external charge cycle has recovered the resting voltage above the 3.0V startup floor.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MICROELITE 3300 shows "no battery" on the screen right after I put in the new BP-1100 replacement — is the cell dead?

Almost certainly not. The MICROELITE 3300 runs a BMS authentication check at power-on, and a new cell that hasn't been charged inside the camera body yet can fail that check on the first attempt. Insert the battery, connect the camera to its OEM charger, and let it run a full charge cycle without interrupting it. After that first charge completes, the camera body accepts the cell and the "no battery" flag clears.

Shot count on my MICROELITE 3300 is noticeably lower than I expected from a 1400mAh cell — what's drawing extra current?

The MICROELITE 3300's rated shot count assumes minimal flash use and short review periods. In practice, flash recycling draws significant current from the cell on every shot it fires, and sustained LCD-on review between shots compounds that drain. Shooting in continuous mode or in cold ambient temperatures also increases per-shot draw beyond the spec figure. To extend shot count per charge, reduce flash frequency and shorten post-shot review time on the LCD.

The flash on my MICROELITE 3300 is taking longer to recycle between shots as the battery gets lower — is something wrong with the new cell?

Nothing is wrong. Flash capacitor recharge pulls a high current burst from the cell, and as cell voltage sags toward the lower end of the 3.7V nominal range, that recharge current delivery slows. This is normal behaviour at end-of-charge rather than a cell defect. If recycling lag appears early in a fresh charge cycle rather than near the end, check that the replacement cell seated fully and that the contacts are clean and making firm contact.
